We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Fiera Wright a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Fiera thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Getting that first client is always an exciting milestone. Can you talk to us about how you got your first customer who wasn’t a friend, family, or acquaintance?
I typically get my lashes done about once a month and it was my Lash Techs Birthday! So I decided to surprise her with a Biscoff Cheesecake since I had all the ingredients at home. I took it to her, during the time of my appointment. After my appointment once I got home she texted me that she loved the Biscoff Cheesecake and she decided to share with the owner of the building. After that the owner began ordering cheesecakes for holidays ever since. I was so excited because this was someone outside of my friend group who didn’t know me well and she loved it. That was the moment I knew my Cheesecakes were the route to go. It was a very validating experience especially to have a return customer, she even mentioned her Family loved and to be able to bring that joy and share these family moments was truly special. To be welcomed into homes on for special occasions and intimate moments.

Fiera, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My name is Fiera, but many know me by my nickname “Feef” — a name that stuck with me since high school and eventually inspired the name of my business, Le Feef Treats. My love for cooking started at home, growing up in the kitchen with my dad. He was the cook, my mom was the baker, and together they helped shape my passion for food. Those early memories turned into lasting traditions, and after the passing of my dad and stepdad, I naturally stepped into their roles during family holidays — keeping their spirits alive through food, flavor, and love.
Le Feef Treats is more than a business — it’s a tribute to the men who helped inspire my love for the kitchen. In fact, my very first post went live on Father’s Day — a sign that this path was not only right, but divinely timed. Every dessert I create carries a piece of them with it — their strength, their love, and the warmth they brought into our home.
At Le Feef Treats, I offer handcrafted baked goods and custom desserts with a personal touch. What sets me apart is my openness to customization — I love collaborating with customers to bring their ideas to life, and I enjoy the creative challenge of making something new. Every time I try something different and succeed, it reminds me that I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be.
What I’m most proud of is that I took a chance on myself. For years, I dedicated my time and energy to taking care of others — and now, through baking, I’m doing something that takes care of me while still letting me give to others. It’s not just a business — it’s a joyful, fulfilling experience that lets me share love, tradition, and creativity through every treat.
Le Feef Treats invites you to be a part of this journey — one filled with flavor, family, and a whole lot of heart.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
One of the most defining moments of my life—and my journey of resilience—was becoming the primary caregiver for my dad after he was diagnosed with cancer. When he chose to come home instead of staying in the hospital, I didn’t hesitate to take time off work and be by his side. It wasn’t easy—physically, emotionally, or spiritually—but for me, it was instinctive. Caring for the people I love has always come naturally, and being there for my dad in his final chapter was a deeply personal and sacred responsibility.
My dad was my biggest cheerleader. He always gave me advice, encouraged me to be better, and reminded me that I was capable of anything. Even as his health declined—eventually to the point where he couldn’t speak or eat—his presence still gave me strength. In one of the hardest moments of my life, I had to find the courage to tell him it was okay to let go. I didn’t want to say it, but I knew it was what he needed. It was a moment of pure selflessness, guided by love and the belief that he would finally have peace.
After losing him, I felt completely lost. My best friend—my angel—was gone, and life felt unfamiliar. There were times I wanted to give up. But something kept me going: cooking. The kitchen became my healing place. Keeping the traditions alive, doing the things he loved to see me do, and carrying forward that love through food became my therapy and my way of honoring him.
Le Feef Treats isn’t just a bakery. It’s a legacy. A continuation of the love, strength, and support my dad gave me. Every treat I make carries a piece of that story, a reminder that even in the deepest loss, there’s purpose, passion, and the power to rise again.

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
For most of my life, I’ve naturally taken on the role of the supporter — the one people lean on, the one who shows up, gives advice, lends time, energy, and love. Whether it was family, friends, or anyone in need, I was there. It’s always been second nature to care for others, and for a long time, I believed that was just my role to play.
But over time, I realized something important: support is meant to be mutual — and just because I’m strong doesn’t mean I don’t need (or deserve) support too. The real challenge wasn’t in knowing that others could show up for me — it was in allowing them to. I had to unlearn the idea that being the strong one meant always doing it alone. I had to release the belief that accepting help was a weakness, or that I needed to “earn” love and care by always giving first.
I’m still unlearning this. But every time I open myself up to being supported, the feeling is unmatched. It’s healing. It’s humbling. And it’s powerful to finally feel seen — not just for what I do for others, but for who I am.
I want to take a moment to say thank you to everyone who has supported me — whether by buying from Le Feef Treats, offering advice, donating supplies, sharing a kind word, or simply speaking my name in rooms I wasn’t in. You’ve poured into me in ways I’ll never forget. If you truly know me, then you know how much that means. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for investing in me — not just as a business owner, but as a person learning to receive the same love I’ve always tried to give. Most importantly I want to thank my Mom immensely for her support.
