Fidel, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to have you retell us the story behind how you came up with the idea for your business, I think our audience would really enjoy hearing the backstory.
A few years ago, I started an advertising agency and everything was going well. However, starting a business and being an entrepreneur comes with many risks. At that time, I was overwhelmed by expenses and the workload. It was during this period that I began to explore the world of artificial intelligence. I became obsessed with the idea because of the possibilities it presented. Thanks to this, I started to see how I could do more specialized work with higher quality, both at the project structure level and at the visual-conceptual level. That’s when I said, ‘I need to take my business in a new direction, this will definitely change the way to run a business.

Fidel, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I have been working in the entertainment, television, and mass media industry for 15 years. Starting young has allowed me to witness the digital transformation, which in turn has helped me envision the future from both old and new perspectives. My services represent the evolution of marketing—communication focused on digital media with planning entirely based on user experience and interaction. The power of a message is definitely what makes the difference in how you present your business to the world. One thing I love is that years ago, it was nearly impossible for new companies to afford a marketing campaign because they had to resort to conventional agencies. Today, with the service I offer, I provide the highest quality that definitely competes with the best agencies in the world (they literally hire me to manage projects), and I offer this to companies at a truly customized price where we both win. I love being able to empower companies with the knowledge I have.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
Definitely, the fact that I have had the opportunity to work for some of the most important companies in the world, like Coca-Cola, Mercedes-Benz, AB InBev, and Unilever, has been crucial. I gained this experience as an employee. Truly, being an employee from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, plus all the extra hours we all know about—staying up late, eating poorly, and having headaches (haha)—is challenging, but it allows you to build a reputation and experience. When you start your own business, this experience gives you the ability to stand in front of a new business and know how to lead it. Definitely, this is something that you can’t learn in a course; it must be empirical knowledge. For me, it’s the best university.

Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
Honestly, Google AdWords has proven to be the best method for me. I know many people look for clients and make calls, but personally, it’s not as functional. In the first version of my business, I hired several sales executives, and unfortunately, they couldn’t close a single sale in months. That cost me a lot of money and didn’t bring in any clients. On the other hand, I activated a Google AdWords campaign and started generating clients from the first month with minimal investment. I was impressed. My strategy now is to have account executives, but not to prospect for clients. Instead, they follow up with the clients that come in, which is more functional. If I had to put it into a metaphor, it would be something like this: it’s not the same to be in the ocean with an unbaited hook, sailing to see what you can catch, as it is to have a net with good bait. Clients should come to you, not the other way around, and this happens through the exposure of your services. If you advertise, they will come to you. The effect of going door-to-door is very old school, which I try to convey with this analogy. Digital media allow us to show our services directly to people who are searching for them. Let’s use the algorithm to our advantage in our entrepreneurship.
