Alright, Fer thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?

I paint hearts because I believe in the Power of Love. Many years ago I was going through a difficult situation in my life, I was really depressed and literally painting and writing songs was the only thing that kept me alive.

All my life I have been a really positive person and being aware of manifestation and the power of love, but at that time that Fer I knew was not there, but I knew I have to put in practice what I had learned and I remembered the simple saying “You have to give love in order to receive it”, the challenging part is that how could I give love if I was not feeling loved, but I decided to believe I was going to give out love through my paintings to people and somehow I will receive love back.
At the beginning they weren’t hearts, they were just abstract waves, but one night two waves faced each other and created the first heart the first “Corazón de Fer”(Fer’s heart) and that is how everything started.

As I always said, If I knew all the blessings I was going to receive with my paintings, maybe I wouldn’t have complaint that much, but maybe If I wouldn’t have complaint that much, I wouldn’t have created this, so everything happens for a reason and I am more than honored and happy of what I have achieved.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

I am a Venezuelan/Portuguese visual artist who paints hearts because I believe in the power of Love. “Corazón de Fer” (Fer’s Heart) literally saved my life after a very dark path of heart broken and desolation; a period of time where I didn’t have the strength to keep living. That is why I paint hearts, I am alive thanks to “Corazón de Fer” and I am sure that love can save many people’s lives the same way as it did with me.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being creative in your experience?

I love that one day I can inspire more generations, I want that when people see my artwork they see a person who never gave up, who wanted to teach everyone to believe in your dreams, that everything is possible when it comes from your heart and from a place of Love and that we came to this world to be happy and make a better place for everyone else.
