Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Felicity Nicole (Quir0z). We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Felicity thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
My brand, She Is You, is a magazine dedicated to inspiring high-achieving midlife women through the four pillars of spirituality, health/wellness, relationships, and career/finance. I created She Is You, because I did not have a place to turn to when I was in a transformational season. As people will read in my book “Pieces of Me”, I am a childhood trauma, domestic violence survivor. I witnessed my father attempt to murder my mother at ten years of age, and from there grew up in a highly dysfunctional, abusive home environment. I have been abused emotionally, physically, mentally, and s*xually throughout the majority of my life. I took charge of my life in my mid 40’s, dug deep into my healing journey, came face to face with some of the deepest, darkest demons I carried, and healed those parts of my inner child. This is what I speak about, the intergenerational trauma that happens in families, and what can happen if you choose to be the cycle breaker. I call it generational trauma, science calls it epigenetics, regardless of how we frame the wounds we carry in our DNA from one generation until the next.

Felicity , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I believe I touched on this in the prior question. I am an author, speaker, and intuitive mentor, some also call me the self-proclaimed inner child healing expert. My Brand She Is You, a magazine dedicated to high-achieving midlife women, is dedicated to inspiring midlife women to lead a life to the fullest through the four pillars of spirituality, health/wellness, relationship, and career/finance. I believe that in today’s current culture we do not have a modern day midlife women’s magazine that is not centered around unrealistic beauty standards, sex, or the current fad diet. I wanted to create a magazine that focused on the “real” woman working in a high-stakes environment, juggling being a mother and wife, or spending time with elderly parents. The women who can’t necessarily put themselves first but are trying to, the one who can’t have the social media body for a 40-60 year old woman because of the demands of life. We support this through a realistic approach, which is more about self-care, loving ourselves, and not falling into the rabbit hole that our current culture flexes on all ladies. We embrace sisterhood with the approach that you can only go so far alone, but you can go miles with many. This is what we call midlife warriors, a tribe of amazing women supporting one another instead of imposing judgement.
The Speaker and/or Storyteller: As discussed in the previous question, I focus on generational trauma, inner child healing, and becoming the cycle breaker in your family. I dive into topics that we hold our mother’s emotional well-being and her mother’s, etc.. I go into details on recognizing and identifying if someone may have trauma and how to reparent those parts of ourselves that are broken. That is the glue to healing once we identify our trauma and connect to that version of ourselves, aka “archetype,” we can then reparent that part through healing modalities of Cognitive Behavioral therapy, Somatic Healing, words of affirmations to make them feel heard, safe, and loved.
Intuitive Mentoring: What is this, people ask? As an intuitive mentor, I use my intuition to guide my clients back into alignment and then teach them to tap into their intuition so they can begin doing this and thrive with a clear direction. When we are not aligned with our higher self, we can feel lost, out of control, confused, and make irrational decisions that can impact our lives and careers. Some clients will even go as far as to call me a modern-day muse.
Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
When I began my company four years ago, I was unaware of the obstacles I was about to encounter. I would become severely ill up until most recently. I would be hospitalized with complex, and inconclusive diagnoses, leaving many puzzled. During this, I never stopped or threw the towel in. I have held meetings in the ER as they put an IV in me. I have spoken at events with large dresses on to self contain or hide specific undergarments. My doctors would load me up with meds to air on the side of caution, and I would be on stage praying to not vomit from the nausea that was caused by my stomach paralysis.
To sum it up with my spiritual twist: when we are meant to do great things, be heard, share your gift, the devil will test you, and go as far as almost taking my life away from me, however, with God on my side and my determination and strength. I would overcome each time and become that much stronger each time. I joke now- When I get up in the morning and my feet hit the floor, the devil runs.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
Pivoting in business can be challenging, especially for someone like me who is new to it. I don’t have a business degree; I’m self-taught and confident in my abilities. I rely on my discernment and take my time before making decisions. For instance, I decided to place the magazine on hold until I could secure a private investor or partner with someone with a more significant presence to help grow it into what it truly deserves.
