Felicia, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. If you had a defining moment that you feel really changed the trajectory of your career, we’d love to hear the story and details.

16 years in the beauty industry I encountered a rash caused by auto immune skin conditions. I was taught after as a coverup artist to conceal the damage created to the skin, not feeling comfortable putting skincare that had chemicals in it , I decided to take action and create an anti inflammatory skincare that would also help protect makeup application, as well as cool , stop peeling and calm redness. Without a platform to reach even more woman throughout the globe I decided to create Butterfly Glitter offering videos on you tube called butterfly rash makeup hacks and sharing tips and stories to the newly diagnosed, later becoming a public speaker and getting makeup and hair donations throughout the beauty industry.

Felicia, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

After being a makeup artist in Las Vegas for over 10 years I encountered a rare skin disorder caused by auto immune conditions, as the clients poured in seeking me after I did a makeup charity event and photoshoot I decided to make it my mission not only to specialize in creating a skincare to soothe help with inflammation and redness along with preventing peeling and protect against makeup application. I later created a YouTube channel to provide woman across the globe with butterfly makeup hacks , a skin care, wig fitting ,and anti inflammatory recipes. I now public speak and get donations as well as providing my skin care for The waiting room events throughout the globe.

If you could go back in time, do you think you would have chosen a different profession or specialty?

I think the beauty industry is a great place for creativity, invention, collaboration, connections and growth

After doing a charity event for lupus that involved makeup and camouflaging the rash woman began to seek me out. Not all of them remembered my name but they knew where to find in. One day a woman came in with the butterfly rash, she didn’t remember my name and I was doing a makeup application with another client. The other makeup artist told her that she couldn’t service her as she told the client her rash could be contagious, I heart soared and I immediately took actions having the other artist take over my original guest so I could help the client with foundation. I reassured her that that artist was just uneducated and that I knew exactly what the butterfly rash was and I was creating a movement, she left feeling beautiful learning tricks with a friend and I decided to take my mission global.
