We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Felicia Guerra a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Felicia, appreciate you joining us today. We’d love to start by getting your thoughts on what you are seeing as some the biggest trends emerging in your industry
No one can see into the future. We can, however, continuously gather feedback from the industry, try to analyze tendencies and forecast future event trends. If you look at recent discussions on social media, it becomes clear the events and exhibition industry is looking at ways to benefit from new technologies and engage the participants more than ever. Current Event Design mix different styles: Classic European, Vintage, Boho, Contemporary, Modern… there’s no recipe for new tendencies only creativity.
Felicia, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I am Event Designer, Planner and Interior Designer. Owner of Palm Beach Events. We are a full service event planning company with experience organizing a wide range of event types. We’ ve been in business since 2015, working with the best vendors in South Florida and offer some of the most gorgeous venues around. We also own an Interior Design brand- LuLoft Interiors.
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
The power of social media is universally known and it’s no myth that it’s an invaluable platform in the events industry. Also is a vital aspect of marketing. With at least two-thirds of internet users on social media, it’s a valuable way for businesses to reach their audience. Since its formation, social media has helped brands connect with audiences all over the world. In fact, businesses use social media primarily for increased exposure, followed closely by increased traffic, and increased lead generation. Many businesses make the mistake of trying to reach everyone. But understanding and organizing your audience can help you send the right message to the right people and more effectively meet your marketing goals. But, it’s one thing having that Facebook page or Instagram account set up, it’s another thing effectively using social media channels to build brand engagement and ultimately sell your events. Which is what we’re all after right…
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
Audience reviews. Reviews not only have the power to influence consumer decisions but can strengthen a company’s credibility.
