We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Felice Kimbrew. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Felice below.
Felice, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
Hey, Sure!
My career in digital media initially started off with just photography and videography. I was interested in capturing special events/ stories and highlighting special moments in history. It wasn’t until after graduating from college and working hands on in the field, that I noticed a huge spike in entrepreneurship. This was also around the time that COVID began; which I should also mention, forced alot of entrepreneurs into full-time status.
I couldn’t help but notice the disconnect with marketing. There were a lot of purpose – passion driven business owners, but their content was failing. Everything was rushed, not well thought out and lacked quality. This is when I realized I wanted to help those who wish to start a business, boost sales using high quality graphics, videos and content. So I slowly made the transition from “photographer/ videographer” to honing my skills in digital media, so I could teach my fellow entrepreneurs how to sustain their business in a digital world.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Not a problem!
I’ve always been a strong advocate for presentation. I believe “presentation matters” so much I made a T-Shirt dedicated to its meaning. I strongly believe the content you put out makes a strong and lasting impression on the quality of consumers/ prospective clients you attract. This is why I believe I’ve dedicated my brand to helping others build theirs.
My goal is to not just design brands, but to help struggling business owners find their voice online. I host brand strategy calls to help entrepreneurs answer thought provoking questions, that way when its time to design and develop content and workflow for their website, they have an idea of how to do this, without circling back to the drawing board.
One of the things I must say I’m most proud of when it comes to my brand, is teaching business owners how to navigate WordPress. WordPress has been known to be the most “complicated” and “un-user friendly” platform; but I’ve created my entire brand off not only building websites using the platform, but showing entrepreneurs how to edit/ navigate and create.
My clients can log on to my website, enter a learning module, and learn all about WordPress with just a click of a few buttons.

Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
I love this question! Because I think alot of people think that there’s only one effective strategy when it comes to building your clientele. For me its so much more than one.
I will be completely honest in saying that because in alot of areas, photography, videography, digital media marketing, brand development all go hand in hand; I’ve had the privilege of keeping the same clients I served years ago, until now. Watching their brands develop over time has afforded me the opportunity to continue to work with them. For example: Someone who started an event planning business in 2020 at the height of COVID may have needed assistance with keeping the doors open. Now 3-4 years later, their brand strategy may change due to the climate and nature of business. I believe my wide range of services can assist entrepreneurs at all different levels of their journey.
Now the short quick and easy answer is this: Maintaining positive relationships with those you’ve helped. I make it my business to follow and support entrepreneurs to let them know the relationship doesn’t stop when services are rendered. I’m here every step of the way to support, cheer on and encourage you to be your absolute BEST self.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
What a great question!
Recently for me, I’ve taken advantage of the fact that when it comes to being an artist, there are no rules! You can be as creative, humorous, corny, serious as you’d like, with no judgement. Creativity has no limitations. Creative expression is key for me with any brand development journey. How expressive or transparent you choose to be just makes you as unique. I love being able to develop my personal brand as a creative while polishing my skills for my business. It all goes hand in hand!
