Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Federica Grieci. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Federica, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Going back to the beginning – how did you come up with the idea in the first place?

Since I was young I’ve been curious about the world and its wonderful secrets. I’ve always liked traveling and visiting new places, so I decided and tried with all my efforts to transform my passion in my job.
After studying Tourism at the University, I decided to move to USA as an au pair and, there, I understood that that was my way.
I started sharing my adventures on my socials and talk about my experiences, always with a big smiling face.
Meanwhile, lots of things happened, lots of changes changed my life, but the desire to explore the world was always bigger and bigger.
So I created my travel blog “Go Travel and Smile”, a big place online that I consider as my child, that contains lots of tips and travel stories about what I lived during my trip and where I share travel suggestions and reviews that people can follow to plan their trips.
It was and it is not easy: creating a community and make people to trust you is an hard job, but if you are real and sincere it is easier than expected.
I’m still working on it and every day is harder than the one before, even because in the last years the competition increased and more and more people decided to become travel bloggers.
The secret is always continuing to believe in my projects and to do what I love with passion, and this is what I do every single day.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

I’m Federica, a smiling traveler and creator of “Go Travel and Smile”, a travel blog and community of “smilers” (smiling travelers), who love the world and live unforgettable life experiences in every country.

I’m from Italy, but I consider myself a citizen of the world, since I’m a full time traveler and I called “home” many places I lived all around the globe.
I love pizza, sunny days and taking pictures of everything as a memory of what my eyes have seen.

I’m currently a full time traveler and a travel content creator: I manage my social pages and my blog, sharing travel tips and suggesting services, tours and experiences to do around the world, with my community who always follows and supports me.

On my pages you can find curiosities, tips, traditional foods and lots of funny things I try first and then I share with you, with real and honest reviews, made as a consequence of my experience.
You’ll feel like traveling with me watching my videos and my stories, always made with love and lots of passion.

Traveling is my life and I’m glad and happy to share what I like the most with people all around the world.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?

The most rewarding aspect of being a creative person is that you are free to make real and give shape to what you have in your mind.
Every day is a different day, and everything I share on my socials is always something new, curious and particular.
All this gives me the opportunity to learn lots of new things, discover new places and live amazing experiences every day and I think that this is the best thing you can ask to live the best life and feel you alive.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?

Creating an active community that trusts you is one of the hardest things about this job that I’ve experienced.
People have to trust you and it is necessary that they feel part of your world.
At the same time you need to be yourself, real and be good on including them in your world.
It is not easy and very challenging, but this is part of this game and time to time you will reach your goal and people, the real people, will start to appreciate you and your work and you’ll be satisfied and grateful for what you have built just being yourself.
