Fayens, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today One of our favorite things to brainstorm about with friends who’ve built something entrepreneurial is what they would do differently if they were to start over today. Surely, there are things you’ve learned that would allow you to do it over faster, more efficiently. We’d love to hear how you would go about setting things up if you were starting over today, knowing everything that you already know.
If I was starting over the first thing I would do differently is figure out my niche and who my target audience is going to be and focus on that. I say that because when you know the audience you’re targeting you can just focus on them and there needs and you’ll know exactly what they look for when they’re looking for a photographer.
Fayens, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Hi my name is Fayens Celius the CEO OF ZOELENZ PHOTOGRAPHY. How I got started? Well, I always had a love for photography and taking pictures for people. I always viewed photography as a form of art and a way for one to express themselves and also get someone to feel a certain type of way or in a certain mood based on the images you took, to me that’s really powerful. I started taking photography seriously in August of 2020 after going to college and wanting to get into the medical field and realizing that was not for me. At that point, I decided that I was going to focus and put my all into doing photography and improving my craft.
I provide photography and videography services, I specialize in Maternity, portraits and beauty photography. as far as videography at the moment I provided recap video for events. the main thing I want my clients and future clients to know is when you book a session with me you’ll receive the highest quality of service and a 5-star experience! The main thing I’m proud of is the quality work I provide to my clients and how I go above and beyond to make sure I capture there special moment and make it one they never forget.
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
I grew my social media presence by consistently posting and engaging with my follower and clients. consistently posting and people seeing you on social medial will definitely build your social media presence and help you gain more clientele. People seeing you on there timeline/feed will have them look into your page and work and if they like what you do, they’ll most likely book you for a job and share your page with someone they know who needs your services.
Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
For me I thing the most effective strategy to growing my clientele has been the consistent level of high quality work that they were seeing me do. I think once they saw that every time I did a photoshoot I was improving and provided the same great quality work and better. they begin to trust me to take their picture and book me for their events. So I would say focus on proving consistent quality of work and the rest will fall in place and your clientele will grow.
