We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Faye and Kaye Evans with Giuseppe and Rowena a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Faye and Kaye thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Can you tell us a story about a time you failed?
This question is quite interesting in our opinions because we don’t view failure like most people. The act of failing to Giuseppe and Rowena is never trying and having thoughts in our minds and not doing anything about it. Things that you set out to do such as relocating to other cities without proper planning can be disappointing when it doesn’t work out or leaving a position for one you feel is a better fit and that doesn’t work out but we look at it like as not failing. We view it is at least we gave it a shot and tried. When you step out of your comfort zone no matter what the outcome is , we look at it as growth and believing in ourselves.

Faye and Kaye, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Giuseppe and Rowena is a multi layered small business that is starting off with Charcuterie and Grazing designing plus more. We offer unique and creative Charcuterie boards, cups, grazing tables, dehydrated fruit, floral arrangements along with small bites for any occasion, party or event. We are embarking in the Independent travel business as we are avid travelers and offer fashion styling with our mannequin named Beauty.. We are twin Sisters who grew up in. Columbia South Carolina and are graduates of the University of South Carolina. We relocated to the lovely city of Atlanta, Georgia years ago and have townhome here. We started in the Real Estate arena working for Closing Attorneys and in. Mortgage Banking with one of us becoming a Realtor. At this time the other half is back and forth from Atlanta to Columbia running the business while networking and attracting new customers and clients. Our business is growing and we are combating challenges like most small businesses do in the first couple of years. We would say what makes us unique is because we are identical twins with some of the same passions. We have a love of people and service. We work extremely hard at what we do to offer our clients and customers the best curated Charcuterie to the best curated Charcuterie experience ever!
We take pride in what we do and offer exceptional customer service experiences.

Can you tell us the story behind how you met your business partner?
I met my Co- Founder and business partner in the womb. We were one egg that split in the womb which made us become two instead of one person. We are identical twin Sisters and are best friends. Although, that can be challenging at times we both know the importance of having a constant in your life who you share anything with and having a person who will always be there for you and loves you unconditionally. We try to not take one another for granted and know that we are favored to have the bond that we share.

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
A lesson that we both had to unlearn and that is to never give up and keep going no matter how grim things may feel or get. You have to keep moving forward because there is always light on the other side and at the end of the tunnel. You will never know what you are made of and the resilience you have if you quit when the going gets tough. This is one life’s biggest lessons. We are more than conquerors and the best is yet to come but you have to keep moving forward in order to achieve your hearts desires.
