We were lucky to catch up with Fawn Berry recently and have shared our conversation below.
Fawn, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I make feel good herbal remedies in small batches, using flowers and herbs from my garden, as much as possible. I also make botanical treasures in the form of home decor and spiritual tools, such as dried pressed frames, dried arrangements, mini wreaths, selenite wands, citrus ornaments, floral sachets and more.
My main priority is providing people products that 1) exist to be used in conjunction with Western Medicine or in lieu of 2) Provide a quality taste and experience, using organic and ethically foraged ingredients.
Any herbs and flowers we are unable to grow we seek locally and/or from other small farmers, predominantly in the USA. Our packaging is mostly reusable and if not it’s recyclable, we avoid single use plastic as much as possible.
Since everything is made in small batches, each product is made every 4-6 weeks on average. This keeps our products super fresh and our customers rely on this quality over quantity mindset.
We also focus on a slow infusion technique, we infuse botanicals and herbs for different elixirs and products for anywhere from 1-4 months. We do not cut corners and believe in taking our time, making herbal remedies with love, patience and integrity.
Can you talk to us about how your funded your business?
My business is a bootstrap business meaning I have reinvested all of my money back into my business, for years before I made a profit. I have never taken any loans out or used capital outside of my own funds. I had several jobs for many years, in order to stay afloat and pursue my dream. I have been full time self employed for 4 years now.
How did you build your audience on social media?
Consistency in posting regularity as well as consistency with the content people can expect to see from you. I have been able to maintain a steady following for many years because of this rule.
