We recently connected with Fastmoneyquan and have shared our conversation below.
FastmoneyQuan, appreciate you joining us today. How did you learn to do what you do? Knowing what you know now, what could you have done to speed up your learning process? What skills do you think were most essential? What obstacles stood in the way of learning more?
At 17 I recorded my first song titled “Yo Mans” featuring 2 of my friends and later dropped it on my SoundCloud account which it did great, the support was CRAZY! So I capitalized off of that momentum and started recording solo tracks. I’m not going to lie the songs I recorded they were pretty good during that era. I honestly recorded a song every single day the more I recorded the better I noticed I was becoming. The better I became the more serious I started to take my craft.
If I knew what I know now back when I started making music I would be a millionaire right now. I wish I would’ve started doing music a little earlier maybe like 13 or 14 years old.
I’m a very versatile artist so I have to say my creativity and the way I express myself through my music is my most essential skill.
Not studying the game of music earlier on in my career and learning the business side of everything was a few obstacles that stood in the way of me learning more.

FastmoneyQuan, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Music was something I did growing up as a kid you know just freestyling with friends, but never once recorded anything or had the intention to take it serious. 2017 was when I started recording music fast forward to 2024 I never knew that I would become a musician because growing up I played sports so as a kid I had in my mind that I was going to be in the NFL (chuckles). Music is my therapy and it’s like my passion for music grew overnight. I never knew how much music would change my life and help me express myself and be so In tuned with my emotions. I can express my feelings and emotions without anybody judging me. I don’t have to worry about anyone saying anything back when I express myself.
In March of 2023 I started cutting hair and it’s crazy because my intentions were to learn and teach my brother. He wanted to cut hair first so I thought maybe I’d learn so that I can teach him. I posted my work on social media people started hitting me up to cut their hair so I thought this is my time to practice and become better. So I decided to take those opportunities which helped me out so much. I’m not going to lie I wasn’t terrible when I first started but you can tell I just started. I went on to work in a barbershop (Who’z Next) for a brief period of time in St.Mary’s Ga thanks to my cousin Kevon “Chop” Hamilton and Lambert “Bert” Brown who gave me the opportunity. During my time there I learned as much as I can and went on to become a Mobile barber.
For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
Being able to touch people with words give them wisdom and help others get through things that you’ve been through. Music is energy so being positive and delivering a positive message with great energy.

How did you build your audience on social media?
Building your audience on social media takes time and it’s times where it becomes very depressing. But consistency, and great content is what brings attraction to your pages. Make sure that you are consistently engaging and consistently dropping content that are relevant to your business. Be creative and do things that stands out from others.
