We recently connected with Farrah LaRaé Wynn and have shared our conversation below.
Farrah LaRaé, appreciate you joining us today. We’d love to have you retell us the story behind how you came up with the idea for your business, I think our audience would really enjoy hearing the backstory.
Thank you for the opportunity to share my story with your audience. I’m honored to be a part. As a business coach, I’ve come in contact with a ton of clients who could benefit from being connected to a community of other motivated entrepreneurs and taking the journey together. The Elite Society was created after realizing the need for women in business to be connected and have access to resources that help grow businesses and make the journey fun.
Farrah LaRaé, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Absolutely, my name is Farrah LaRaé Wynn. I’m a mom, serial entrepreneur,
It took me by surprise but at an early age, I knew I was placed on this earth to be creative, inspire others, be inspired, show love, and give. I’ve had the opportunity to share endless amounts of resources, information, and opportunities with the women I believe in. I’m really humbled by that.
Have any books or other resources had a big impact on you?
OH my goodness, YES! One of my earliest, life-changing encounters with a book was at 13 years old. I permanently borrowed (haha) my dad’s copy of “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People” by Stephen Covey because the title seemed impactful. What I didn’t realize was that my life would never be the same. The principles in this book have helped shape my mindset and determine who I am as an entrepreneur. Habits like, “Begin with the end in mind” and “Seek first to understand, then to be understood” have helped me to become who I am today.
Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
This is such a valuable mindset and I’m glad you bring it up, because I think it’s a conversation a lot of people are having right now. Something I had to unlearn is the idea that my business isn’t successful just because I don’t have tens of thousands of customers overnight (yet). I tell my coaching clients this often and what I’ve come to realize is that 90% of the time, small business owners get discouraged because there is no immediate growth or instant gratification. Unfortunately, like anything else, true growth takes time in business and more often than not, there are people out there who want what you have, they just don’t know you exist! My advice to you? don’t give up!!
