Farra, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to have you retell us the story behind how you came up with the idea for your business, I think our audience would really enjoy hearing the backstory.
The idea of opening a driving school actually came from my late father. He previously owned the driving school. After his passing , a lot of people urged me to keep the business in the community. I was a little discouraged at first due to the amount of headache my father left behind but hearing several words of encouragement helped give me the push I needed. Our services helped the community a lot and I wanted to keep his legacy alive. However, I wanted to give the business a feel of my own and align with the morals I have when it comes to business. I went on and revamped the company as well as renamed it to DYMOND (diamond) CDL AUTO CLUB.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
My name is Farra Saint-Flavin . I am a Brooklyn born & raised native. I have a MBA in Business as well as a BA in Psychology which goes hand in hand with dealing with giving exceptional customer service. I am known as the JILL of all trades and have opened several successful businesses over the years. My current business is a driving school by the name of Dymond CDL Auto Club. located in Brooklyn Ny where we do several services such as car training, CDL training , and School bus monitor courses to name a few. What sets me apart from others I would say is my goal to always make sure the customer leaves satisfied and to leave a great mark. In this day and age, a lot of new business owners do not care about client satisfaction, they care about the money. I like to give 110% in my services.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
The way I started building my audience on social media was with the help of a beauty influencer by the name of Princess Rese. Rese did not have her drivers license and I took the opportunity to reach out to her and offer my services to her. In exchange she documented her whole driving journey from start up until the day of her road test where she passed on the first try. Ever since then the business has skyrocketed off of her YouTube videos. However to keep the retention of clients, I had to make relevant content that kept people going such as tik toks, posting driving advice and etc. Advice I would give for those just starting to build their social media presence make sure that you are on top of the latest trends , follow social media managers because they always give tips on how to keep engagements going anyhow to build an audience. This has helped me tremendously.
Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
The most effective strategy for growing my clientele has been getting the consent of my clients to record our driving sessions so I can post on my social media outlets as well as google. Driving is a very scary thing to some so when viewers see how relaxed my clients are behind the wheel, seeing them make reviews of their lessons as well as seeing some pass on their first try it has helped bring in more business.
