We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Farhaan Hussain. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Farhaan below.
Farhaan, appreciate you joining us today. Can you open up about a risk you’ve taken – what it was like taking that risk, why you took the risk and how it turned out?
let me take you on a journey through the chapters of my own story, a tale of risks, rewards, and a whole lot of pixels. You see, I’m a business grad who always had a soft spot for the arts. Back in college, while others were crunching numbers, I found solace in phone photography and weaving words for the college magazine. Yet, despite my best efforts, mastering English composition remained as elusive as a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow.
Then came the pivotal moment, the turning point that altered the trajectory of my journey. Amidst the monotony of corporate life, I stumbled upon the enchanting world of videography and photography. It was like discovering a hidden treasure chest buried beneath the sands of routine. I knew I had to dive in headfirst, despite the risks.
So, fueled by equal parts passion and curiosity, I embarked on a quest to master the craft. Balancing a full-time job with my newfound obsession, I devoured YouTube tutorials like a starving artist at a banquet. Trial and error became my trusted companions as I navigated the labyrinth of shutter speeds and editing techniques.
But oh, how the universe began to take notice! With each post on Instagram, I felt more confident with my drones and camera. Offers to capture the essence of real estate and immortalize the love stories of couples began flooding in, like messages in a bottle cast upon the digital sea.
Did I doubt myself along the way? Of course. But I refused to let fear hold me back. With every click of the shutter, I dared to defy convention and chase my dreams with a little more creativity.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to introduce myself. My journey into the world of photography, videography, and drone piloting is a tale of self-discovery, determination, and a relentless pursuit of creativity.
I began my career as a marketing specialist, delving into the intricacies of brand management and business development. However, deep down, I always harbored a passion for the arts. Fuelled by this passion, I took it upon myself to dive headfirst into the world of photography and videography, armed with nothing but a thirst for knowledge and an insatiable curiosity.
With the help of YouTube tutorials, mentorship from fellow professionals, and countless hours of trial and error, I honed my skills and mastered the craft. Today, I proudly stand as a professional photographer, videographer, and certified commercial drone pilot.
In terms of the services I offer, my repertoire is quite diverse. From capturing breathtaking aerial shots with my drone to documenting love stories through couple photography, from crafting engaging marketing campaigns with compelling storytelling to producing short reel videos for brands and businesses, I do it all. I’ve even had the privilege of being part of production teams for large-scale projects like car commercials.
What sets me apart from others in the industry is my unique blend of skills and experience. As a marketing specialist turned creative powerhouse, I bring a deep understanding of branding and customer engagement to every project. My ability to delve into the essence of a brand, understand its target audience, and craft captivating narratives sets me apart as a storyteller in a sea of content creators.
I take immense pride in my dedication to my craft and the journey I’ve undertaken to get to where I am today. While I may not have pursued formal education in this field, my passion and commitment have allowed me to carve out a niche for myself in the industry.
For potential clients and followers alike, I want them to know that when they hire me, they’re not just getting a photographer, videographer, or drone pilot – they’re getting a multifaceted creative powerhouse dedicated to bringing their vision to life. Whether it’s through stunning visuals, compelling storytelling, or engaging marketing campaigns, I’m here to exceed expectations and leave a lasting impression.

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
Throughout my career as a multifaceted creative professional, I’ve come to appreciate the inherent truth that learning is an ongoing process, and evolution is a constant companion on this journey. However, there was a pivotal moment where I had to confront the reality that my steadfast commitment to certain principles or methods could sometimes hinder my growth rather than facilitate it.
The lesson I had to unlearn was the notion that sticking to my tried-and-tested methods without embracing change would suffice in navigating the tumultuous waters of creativity. You see, despite my proficiency in my craft and my dedication to maintaining a solid foundation, there were instances where I resisted embracing emerging trends or adapting to shifting paradigms, believing that my established approach was sufficient to weather any storm.
However, as the sands of time continued to shift, I found myself confronted with the stark reality that the world around me was evolving at a rapid pace, leaving me at risk of stagnation if I failed to evolve alongside it. It was a humbling realization, akin to standing on the shore as the waves of innovation crashed relentlessly against the shores of my comfort zone.
The backstory to this lesson is rooted in my experiences as a creative professional navigating the dynamic landscape of social media and digital marketing. There were occasions where I opted out of participating in emerging trends or adopting new platforms, convinced that my existing strategies would suffice in maintaining my relevance and visibility.
However, as I soon discovered, the digital landscape is fickle, where trends rise and fall with the capriciousness of the wind. By stubbornly clinging to my outdated beliefs, I inadvertently limited my reach and missed out on opportunities to connect with a broader audience.
It was a sobering realization, but one that ultimately spurred me to reassess my approach and embrace a more flexible mindset. I learned that true growth requires a willingness to unlearn old habits and embrace change, even when it challenges our comfort zones. Like a tree bending with the wind, I realized the importance of remaining rooted in my principles while allowing myself to sway with the currents of evolution.
In essence, the lesson I had to unlearn was the fallacy of complacency – the belief that mastery of a craft insulates us from the need to adapt and evolve. Through this experience, I gained a newfound appreciation for the fluidity of creativity and the importance of remaining agile in the face of change.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
For me, the most rewarding aspect of being a creative lies not in the tangible rewards of financial gain, but in the intangible fulfillment derived from uplifting others and imbuing their endeavors with meaning and resonance. It is encapsulated in the profound realization that we only truly ascend when we extend our hands to lift others along the journey.
To me, creativity is not merely a solitary pursuit of self-expression, but a profound act of service to others. It is the ability to infuse life into ideas, to breathe vitality into brands, and to illuminate narratives that resonate with the human spirit. Like a sculptor chiseling away at marble to reveal the hidden beauty within, being a creative affords me the opportunity to shape perceptions, inspire emotions, and forge connections that transcend mere transactions.
The most rewarding moments in my creative journey are not found in the applause or accolades, but in the genuine joy and gratitude of those whose stories I’ve had the privilege to amplify. It’s the satisfaction of knowing that through my work, I’ve helped elevate someone’s brand, empowered their vision, or lent voice to their narrative in a way that resonates with authenticity.
In essence, the essence of being a creative lies in the transformative power of empathy and altruism – in recognizing that our talents are not merely for self-indulgence, but for uplifting the spirits of others and contributing to the collective tapestry of human experience. It’s about recognizing that true fulfillment is found not in the pursuit of personal glory, but in the profound act of service and the joy that comes from knowing we’ve made a positive impact on the lives of others.
