We were lucky to catch up with Fanchon Harris recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Fanchon thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Do you take vacations? How do you keep things going – any advice for entrepreneurs who feel like they can’t step away from their business for a short vacation?
Yes, I Take Vacations and Here’s Why You Should Too as a Business Owner
One of the most common questions I get as a business owner is, “Do you actually take vacations?” The short answer is absolutely. And I believe every entrepreneur should.
When you’re running a business, especially in the early stages, it can feel like stepping away even briefly will cause everything to unravel. But here’s the truth: learning to take intentional breaks is not a sign of weakness or neglect — it’s a mark of a sustainable business and a healthy mindset.
Why Vacations Matter
Vacations aren’t just about rest (although rest is critical). They’re about clarity, creativity, and longevity. When you allow yourself time away from the daily demands of your business, you gain the space to see things from a higher level. Some of my best ideas and most strategic decisions have come during moments of rest not during times of hustle.
How I Prepare to Step Away
Taking a vacation as a business owner doesn’t happen by accident it takes intentional planning. Here’s how I do it:
1. Plan in Advance: I schedule time off just like I would an important business meeting. I block it on the calendar early so I can work around it.
2. Automate and Schedule: I make use of tools that allow me to schedule emails, social media content, and even client communications in advance.
3. Delegate: I trust my systems and, where possible, delegate tasks to team members or partners who can keep things moving.
4. Communicate: I let clients and customers know when I’ll be unavailable, and I set clear expectations about response times.
5. Build Resilient Systems: Most importantly, I’ve designed my business in a way that it can operate at least temporarily without me at the center of every task.
Advice to Fellow Entrepreneurs
If you’re an entrepreneur who feels like you can’t take a vacation I get it. The pressure is real. But here’s what I’ve learned:
• Your business should support your life, not consume it.
• Burnout costs more than a week off ever will.
• Stepping away occasionally is an investment in your vision, not a risk to it.
Your health, your mindset, and your personal joy are some of your greatest business assets. Protecting them is not just wise it’s necessary.
So yes, I take vacations. Proudly. And I encourage you to do the same.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Absolutely! My name is Fanchon Harris and I’m a multi-passionate entrepreneur behind two brands: Endless Possibilities Travel and Fan’s Fine Design. I’m also the voice behind Endless Talk Solutions, where I hire people to with work from home jobs.
I entered the travel industry in 2019. I was driven by my love for exploring the world and helping others do the same. I’ve always believed that travel isn’t just about visiting new places. It’s about creating unforgettable experiences, deepening relationships, and expanding your worldview. I travel often myself so I can confidently recommend destinations, resorts, and cruises based on real, firsthand experiences. That personal touch allows me to truly customize every vacation to fit the unique needs of my clients. Whether it’s a romantic getaway, family trip, cruise, group travel, or solo escape, I’m committed to making it unforgettable.
Alongside my travel business, I also run Fan’s Fine Design, where I create custom handcrafted items like themed shirts and other thoughtful, personalized gifts. Many of my clients use these products to enhance their travel experiences or celebrate life’s special moments. It’s a joy to combine creativity with meaning in everything I design.
What sets me apart is that my work is truly personal. I care deeply about the people I serve. I don’t just plan trips or make products; I build relationships. I take the time to listen, learn, and craft something that reflects each individual’s vision. I also bring a unique blend of professionalism, creativity, and passion to everything I do.
What I’m most proud of is the trust I’ve built with my clients and community. I’ve helped people take their first trip out of the country. I’ve surprised loved ones with meaningful gifts. I’ve inspired others to believe in the beauty of possibility whether that’s through travel, creativity, or mindset.
At the heart of everything I do is this simple belief: life is full of endless possibilities. Whether I’m planning a dream vacation, designing a custom item, or sharing encouragement through Endless Possibilities Travel. I’m committed to helping others experience the best life has to offer.

How did you build your audience on social media?
Building my audience on social media has been a journey rooted in consistency, authenticity, and service. When I first started, I didn’t have all the answers, and I didn’t focus on perfection. Instead, I focused on showing up with value whether that was sharing helpful travel tips, showcasing my custom products, celebrating client wins, or offering a bit of inspiration to brighten someone’s day.
Over time, I learned that people connect most with real stories and relatable moments. So I made it a priority to let my audience see not just the polished parts of my business, but the process, the passion, and the purpose behind it. I engaged with my followers genuinely, responded to comments and messages, and created content that felt personal and intentional not just promotional.
I also remained consistent with my posting schedule and stayed true to my brand’s voice and mission. Whether I was highlighting a travel destination, a new design from Fan’s Fine Design, or simply offering encouragement through Endless Possibilities Travel , I focused on serving my audience, not just selling to them.
My advice to those just starting out?
1. Be consistent. Show up even when your audience is small. That’s how you build trust.
2. Know your message. Be clear about who you are, what you offer, and who you’re speaking to.
3. Add value. Your content should educate, inspire, entertain, or solve a problem.
4. Engage. Social media is meant to be social. Start conversations, not just promotions.
5. Be patient. Growth takes time, but the right people will find you if you keep showing up with heart and purpose.
Remember, it’s not just about numbers. It’s about building a community that believes in what you do and grows with you over time.

What else should we know about how you took your side hustle and scaled it up into what it is today?
Yes, my side hustle absolutely evolved into my full-time business and it’s been one of the most rewarding journeys of my life.
I originally started my travel business, Endless Possibilities Travel, while working full-time. It began as a passion project. I loved researching destinations, planning trips, and helping friends and family create memorable experiences. I saw a need for personalized, stress-free travel planning, and I believed I could fill that gap.
At the same time, I had a creative side that I couldn’t ignore. That’s where Fan’s Fine Design came in my crafting business focused on handmade shirts, travel accessories, and personalized gifts. It started with small projects for close friends and quickly grew through word of mouth and social media exposure.
As both businesses gained traction, I found myself investing more time, energy, and resources into building strong foundations. I committed to learning everything I could from marketing and branding to customer service and automation. I stayed consistent, even when the growth felt slow at times.
Some key milestones that helped me scale include:
• Getting my first repeat travel client which confirmed that I was delivering real value.
• Launching my first group trip and seeing it sell out through organic promotion.
• Building a loyal base of custom product clients many of whom now return for every occasion or event.
• Expanding into social media marketing where I was able to build a community and reach more people.
• Earning industry recognition and client referrals which truly helped solidify my reputation.
Eventually, the demand for my services grew to the point where I could confidently leave my full-time job and dedicate myself fully to my businesses. It was a leap of faith, but one I was prepared for through smart planning, consistency, and passion.
Today, I’m proud to say that what once was a side hustle has become a fulfilling career. I now operate with intention, flexibility, and purpose helping others create memories, celebrate moments, and explore the endless possibilities life has to offer.
