We recently connected with Famya Divine and have shared our conversation below.
Famya, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Risking taking is a huge part of most people’s story but too often society overlooks those risks and only focuses on where you are today. Can you talk to us about a risk you’ve taken – it could be a big risk or a small one – but walk us through the backstory.
One of the mpst riskest risk i’ve ever experienced in my 25 years is when I had to make the executive decision to leave a 10k a month buisness that i built from the ground up to bet on myself , again. Rebuild , again . It was scary but it released me from fear and the fear of failure . My first company showed me that it.is.possible. And sometimes you have to choose to rebuild vs feeling stuck . It becomes harder when you see success . Because we can choose to be complacent and not strive for that next level . We can choose to not evolve into our full potential .

Famya, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Hi ! My name is Famya , I am a 25 year old artist, and entrepreneur. I use art as a tool to communicate my scientific studies , through a vast and strange mediums . One which is being a jewelers , and healing the community through copper , silver & gold . Along with stones and studying the effects . I also use my paintings/murals to spark the great mind . Yes , it is so fun to paint on huge walls , but more importantly the impact that piece will have on the viewers is something that is priceless . And finally , being a massage therapist, and a wannabe doctor . (Studying to be a doctor) so that i may be able to use the art of medicine in a way that is full of love , integrity and bedside manner . I love to link art and science together !!

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
I had to unlearn that i didn’t need any one else’s validation . I didn’t need ANYONE to believe in me because i believed in me . And i am willing to work for it and wait for it . Even in the moments where i don’t believe in myself i use my consistency to get me to the next step. Brick by brick i make myself believe .
Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
When I found out i was pregnant . My roommate kicked me out on the street . It was a hardship i was in SCAD atl . And it so happened my tutition just ran out ! So i transfer into massage school , because i’ve always loved the industry & fast money . While im studying that i’m also trying to get hired , but unfortunately no one hires pregnant woman . So , im only left with a baby and a buisness . So , i’m at every event , posting like a mad man on social media , producing my bum off , learning a new trade . While trying to get an apartment before my first born is born . I slept at parks , in my car, at a friends house . I remember feeling alone , but KNOWING i’d be successful ! And i was ! All that grinding paid off i was able to move into a beautiful upgraded apartment from MY BUISNESS! Right by my school ! I was able to have my dream unassisted homebirth . I wrote it out , worked on it , and didnt give in when it looked like choas. I used the cards i was dealt. And the most high blessed my buisness.
