We were lucky to catch up with Faith Michael recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Faith thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Do you wish you had waited to pursue your creative career or do you wish you had started sooner?
I wished I started earlier before 2021. Absolutely, I wished I started earlier, but on the other hand I’m grateful for every step and process that I have passed through.
Starting early doesn’t guarantee a successful career, but starting right, with the right people and being in the right direction and place is a stepping stone to a successful career.

Faith , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Her brushwork illuminates the voices of her subjects on canvas. She evokes emotional scenes from her perspective of life using her paintings to strengthen the weak.
Faith explores issues surrounding the individual state of being courageous in a world full of oppression, she tells compelling stories of the ordinary man; their struggles, debt, win, and societal acceptance.
My involvement in the art scene is a divine one. An act that could happen only by supernatural planning. I said this because I never would have imagined myself becoming a visual artist. I loved acting , media reports , and library studies growing up and that is all I have ever wanted to be as an adult.
Then came the accidental scene when during my registration for Joint Admission Matriculation Board exam, the cyber café attendant selected art as my first choice of study. Although, I didn’t think I would scale through that one mistake, I just had this instinctive feeling to stick to it, because from my tender age, I had no idea on how it was and I never offered fine art in school. I thought of getting a change of course form into another department if I am given the admission into art.
I got the admission into the art department, on getting there, I loved what I saw, everyone was busy with work. I had this instinct to stay in the department. It was not an easy decision because I couldn’t even draw a perfect circle not to talk of drawing a figure, I failed, I thought of quitting, I felt the department was not for me. But I was determined to work harder and create a legacy of being successful in art despite I wasn’t gifted.
I didn’t have the talent or gift in art , but my passion for success made me stay.
Today,I have come to agree with fate that I am here to inspire every child, teenager, youth, and young adult who in one way or the other are underestimating their potentials to see positivity in what ever life throws at them.
Therefore, the focus is not just on me. But a story that will elevate everyone to be confident enough in themselves to chase the impossible.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
Yea!!!
The fact that I wasn’t gifted and talented in art is a great drive for me to work hard and smart. People naturally believes you should be talented to be an artist, but in my case passion beats talent.
Whatever you set out to do, do it passionately like your life depends on it.
My mission is to great an everlasting legacy on the sand of time, making people see potentials in every mistake, and people should believe in whatever they set out to do.
It can only get better.
Yea I believe consistency is the keyword that should guide those who have chosen the part of success. Nothing good comes easy, you try, you fail, you keep on trying.
For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
The most rewarding aspect of being an artist is you will always be relevant except you stop creating. I know there are times the artist block comes in, but it doesn’t last forever.
