We were lucky to catch up with Faith Ellis recently and have shared our conversation below.
Faith, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
The KettleBelle believes in empowering clients to achieve their goals through specialized kettlebell classes and enjoying fitness to improve mental health.
I am a big believer and walking testimony that if you can find something you enjoy, fitness is fun and in turn your mental health improves through exercise. I want people to find what they love, to move, for overall improved health.

Faith, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I have been in the fitness industry for more than 10 years now. I’ve ran, I’ve focused on how “small” I could get, I’ve counted calories, restricted, done all the things!
A few years ago I found kettlebells. They offered the benefits of strength training and cardio all in one, but they are also SO fun to me. I love working with them and challenging myself to learn new moves and flows.
I created The KettleBelle to teach other how to use kettlebells and to show the benefits of working with them. I am an advocate for mental health and love to share with my audience how physical exercise can drastically improve mental health. My hopes are that i can inspire as many people as possible to find an exercise they enjoy so they will stick with it.

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
When I first started in the health industry, I became a personal trainer. I was very focused on you HAVE to do x,y, and z and you HAVE to eat a certain way.
Over the years, I’ve learned that mindset in the long run will fail. You need to find something that works for you, practice moderation, and focus on being your best and happiest self. That’s what truly inspired others.
Now I love what I do, I value rest days and varying my movement and I eat for nutrition, pleasure, and skin benefits.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
Social media is a great marketing resource but it’s very saturated, especially in the fitness industry.
If you are looking to build your social presence, I highly recommend being original. Be yourself. Inspire others.
I am big on partnering with others who fit my goals and values. I have partnerships on Instagram that allow me a bigger reach and have dramatically increased my followers. I jump on trends that fit my brand, but being a part of trends shouldn’t be your goal. Take advantage of trending audio that isn’t overly saturated and ask for collaboration posts with someone who fits your brand.
