Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Faith Creech. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Faith, thanks for joining us today. When did you first know you wanted to pursue a creative/artistic path professionally?
I first knew that I wanted to pursue a creative path when I was around 14 and got my first camera which was a Canon Rebel film camera. In fact I still have that camera and my first camera bag. That camera went everywhere with me! I became a freelance photographer for the semi pro hockey team in Florence, SC. When I was 16 I started getting into landscape and nature photography. My family moved to Argentina, South America and that really sparked my love of photography even more. I really loved being able to capture a moment and tell a story with it.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
My name is Faith Creech, I am a p.g.a. accredited Producer, a Casting Director, and a Location Scouting Manager, known for Alienography (2019), What Matters (2018), Shenanigans (2019), and currently in post production of a new horror trilogy called Milila (2020). My work has been included in multi award-winning projects, and I am the first ever female Producer accredited with the Producers Guild of America registered with the South Carolina Film Commission. From the age of 14, I began my career as a Photographer I had work published in a Charleston, SC news publication for my work highlighting the Buffalo Sabres professional Hockey team. I continued my work as a freelance photographer in Argentina, Mississippi, and in South Carolina, until I got my first job teaming up with another independent filmmaker to gain my first experience filming a feature film as a Production Assistant. From there, after working on several other film productions, I eventually teamed up with Andrew Gajadhar and Christian Manganelli to start our own film production company, Picture Media Group and production house PMG Studios. I am one of the co-founders of Carolina Film Network (NPO), where I serve as the Public Relations Director. Carolina Film Network is a non-profit and our mission is to cultivate personal and professional growth by showcasing work that represents the articulated personification of therapeutic Art and to bolster careers in the film industry through networking, education, and resourcing opportunities of employment. We currently hold networking meetings the first Saturday of every month from 3-5pm at our office in West Columbia. We also host film camps at our office quarterly and also travel to do film camps in different communities and high schools. We also just released the first issue of 2-POP Magazine which highlights the arts with a focus on film here in South Carolina!
I’m also the co-director of Freedom Festival International Film Festival, where we not only highlight underrepresented groups, but we also promote equality and those who sacrifice for Freedom! With live screenings, social network events, seminars, and live entertainment, we are headed into our 5th year which will be August 24th-27th 2023.
Is there mission driving your creative journey?
The drive behind my creative journey is my love of story telling. I love taking a script and finding the perfect cast to make the characters come to life. I love location scouting because it fuels my passion for exploring and sets the scene for the story. I love running a film festival because I get to give other artists a platform to tell their stories. My long term goal is to one day run a large art house that would include a film school.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
What is the most rewarding aspect of being a creative? As a filmmaker there is nothing more rewarding to me than sitting at the back of a packed theater with your film playing and watching the reactions of everyone watching your film. There is something deeply satisfying seeing people laughing, crying, gasping all when they are supposed to, that’s when I know that we have done a good job.
