Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Faith Cogburn. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Faith, thanks for joining us today. What sort of legacy are you hoping to build. What do you think people will say about you after you are gone, what do you hope to be remembered for?
I want my business name to last forever, I don’t really care if they remember faith, as long as Everything Girls is growing and helping out in the community the best way we can. I want everyone to remember Everything Girls as one of the best boutiques in the world. Great quality, excellent customer service, helping hands. A confidence boosts every time you leave our shop.
Faith, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My name is Faith, and I am the owner of Everything Girls LLC. Since I was a child, I always had the vision of being a successful business owner. I am a girly girly so I love getting dressed in pretty clothing, jewelry, shoes and Everything girls love. Everything Girls is a boutique for girls 18+ and we carry – Clothes, Jewelry, Makeup and More! Going out or seeing my customers on Instagram smiling, looking great in my brand is what keeps me going, it gives me more motivation and is when I feel most proud. Satisfying my customers and delivering exactly what they order is top priority. To all of my current and future customers – Thank you! I love what I do, and I hope to continue – show up and show out every chance.
Also, stay tuned for “GIRLS AT NIGHT.” for our bedtime collection! :)
How did you put together the initial capital you needed to start your business?
I started my Everything Girls at the age of 23. I was in between jobs and was always fascinated with the idea of starting my own boutique. I’m not going to lie I was kind of scared and I didn’t have a lot of faith, so, I saved one of my checks and I started selling phone cases. I did pretty good, so I saved all the money I made from phone cases and put another work paycheck with it, I bought my LLC and my first my clothing inventory, and I’ve been going ever since.
We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
A lesson I had to learn as a business owner is bad days are normal. You might not hit your sales goal every day, and some days you’ll hit your goal x3. Just don’t give up. Keep going you’ll do so good soon you won’t even remember the bad days.
