Fairy Tale Entertainment, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Are you happier as a creative? Do you sometimes think about what it would be like to just have a regular job? Can you talk to us about how you think through these emotions?

We are definitely happier as artists. We all still work regular jobs in order to support our passions in creating art and music, but having an outlet that we can pour our thoughts, feelings, and full creativity into makes the jobs we work a lot more bearable. We express to each other often how amazing making music feels, and we believe that if we weren’t artists, life would feel boring. Not much would change, but there would be a lot less for us to do.

Fairy Tale Entertainment, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

Fairy Tale Entertainment is a Baltimore-based Rap collective, consisting of three current members: Ri Marquis, BL4RE, and Super Beezy 64. Fairy Tale Entertainment was founded by Ri Marquis, alongside his good friend, artist, and former member, 806Bones. The duo showed talent and drive, not only in athleticism, but in artistry as well. They would go on to invite BL4RE to the team, who has a background full of musical experience, and already had a sizable discography at the time. Super Beezy 64 was a former coworker of BL4RE, and after featuring on a few songs with Fairy Tale Entertainment, they had invited him to join the group.

Together, we make music, but we also make art too. From digital art, to graphic design, to illustration, each of us has our own strengths, but we all like to explore the world of creation. There is nothing we won’t try.

We also sell our talents and services. If a client would like an instrumental to use for a song, we can compose it. If a client wants a cover for a song, a logo, or a design, we can illustrate it.

We pride ourselves on our versatility, and our love for our craft. We make art first and foremost because it’s fun. It is always nice to get paid for our work too.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?

By far, the most rewarding aspect of being an artist is getting to perform our songs live. People set aside their own time from their lives to come together and see us perform, and to call that an honor would be an understatement. They give us the opportunity to share our product and hard work directly to them. There’s almost no feeling better than seeing the crowd enjoy what we do, knowing we could have made even one new fan.

Are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?

Other than the hundreds of shortcuts and ways around using our DAW, FL Studio, the most useful resource to us is Looperman. Looperman is a music website where users can upload royalty-free loops and music samples to be used in songs. It’s the perfect tool for either laying the groundwork for a song to build on, or for when you feel like you just need to add one or two more elements to finish off a song you’re working on.
