We were lucky to catch up with Fabio Bravo recently and have shared our conversation below.
Fabio , appreciate you joining us today. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
Our mission at Fabilous Charcuterie is fairly simple. To bring family and friends together more often with a delicious charcuterie board.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
We are a husband and wife team. I’m actually a person chef and have been creating charcuterie boards for years. My wife Julie has worked in the food industry as well as customer service for many years. We decided to start Fabilous Charcuterie on the basis to bring any one and any type of budget the experience of a delicious meat and cheese board.
Our family is notorious for get-togethers and the notion of others doing the same while indulging in one of our boards its an amazing feeling!
Can you share one of your favorite marketing or sales stories?
One marketing risk that stands out is that we had reached out to a news anchor that was following us on Instagram. We offered to treat the team to a charcuterie board. A few months passed and nothing came out of it so we just kept pushing forward posting and growing our business. After about 3 months the news anchor and her producer reached out and asked of we wanted to showcase our charcuterie boards on the news channel! It was an amazing feeling so surreal. I learned that you just have to take that jump that risk and trust that it will all the worth it.
How did you build your audience on social media?
When we decided to start our business. We spread the word with family and friends and started our following. They wpuld tell their friends and our followers grew. We would spend a day making content and from that prep we would get a few different shots and videos. So we would post one one day and the others the next day. You have to post consistently at least 1 video everyday to get the ball rolling. We also paid on a few of our reels to get more views/followers. Now we don’t have the need to post daily to gain new followers.
