We recently connected with Fabienne Claude and have shared our conversation below.
Fabienne, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?
The story behind my mission is to get people to understand the power of the body and spirit in coexistence, or in other words, in balance. Applying healthy choices both physically and spiritually is my main focus. Eat right, stay active, and keep your spirit activated with positive and conscious approaches. My company introduces holistic companies, programs, initiatives, events, and wellness activities to assure the bigger purpose, self love.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I got into the industry with first loving and spiritually thriving by helping communities and underserved people worldwide. It upgraded when I started to apply more healthy choices to my lifestyle. First, I got into yoga. I took a teacher certification class just to learn, but I never saw myself actually teaching. After I became certified, my friends kept wanting me to teach classes for them; this was when I took teaching seriously. Just a few months into it, I turned vegan and never looked back.
Prior to yoga and veganism, I was putting on events that mainly were giving back initiatives and supporting foundations for children in need. I produced fashion shows to elevate the experience while solely seeking designs that were eco-friendly and health conscious to the environment. The reason behind it was to show people that despite vanity driven, there are ways to still love fashion in a more conscious way.
Go Green Fashionista was manifested in 2008 while on a 2 month trip to Mexico and Spain. I wanted to come back to Miami with my own business and my own terms. I was having such a hard time getting paid for my value, so I created my own outlet to showcase my worth. Miami is the city I grew up in and I was always in “popular” settings with the “who’s who” of Miami, so it didn’t take me long to speak to the right people to put me on. At the time, eco-friendly fashion wasn’t spoken of too much so it brought huge awareness and opportunities for me.

Have you ever had to pivot?
My career took a pivot when I started to study more about world history and religion. What fascinated me the most in my studies was Africa. I dove deeper into learning my roots and foundation, which then led me to learning about my most recent descents of Haiti. This is when knowledge of self, self love, and love for my race and history ignited in me.
The religion that I connected to beyond all the other religions I found intriguing, was Rastafari. I applied the wisdom of Rastafari to my personal movements and all that I presented within my business. My events started to become more intentional and highlighting dates like, Indigenous Peoples Day, Ethiopian New Year, high energy days like 11/11, etc. to do special events on. I chose to not only embrace and speak up on the African diaspora, culture, indigenous people and the underserved, but to engage people in the information with unique and curated special events.
When I started to be more physically active and realizing the power of a healthy body, I found a way to present all of these elements that cohesively connect. This is how i self proclaimed my title as Holistic Influencer. It embodies all of what I do and represent.

What else should we know about how you took your side hustle and scaled it up into what it is today?
I was a Hooter’s girl paying my tuition in college when I realized I was surrounded by people who at the time didn’t have ambition or know what they wanted to do with their life. I decided to make the difference and go to a college that I would enjoy and have fun while in school. I found Miami International University and enrolled in the Film Program. It was when I went to college, I realized all the possibilities I had and was able to explore. I was always a person that didn’t work well for other people. Once they made me do something out of the job description like mop the floor, I was out.
By my sophomore year, I had opened up my first business at 20 years old as a model agent/booker. Within having access to models, I was putting on fashion shows in night clubs mainly in South Beach. While doing this, I realized that in order for me to make money, I needed to love what I do. I started to thrive even more this way as work became a fun thing to do. Till this day, I found a way to remain abundant while doing strictly the things that i love and that aligns with me and my purpose and mission.
