We were lucky to catch up with Fabian Jaime recently and have shared our conversation below.
Fabian , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to hear about a project that you’ve worked on that’s meant a lot to you.
The most meaningful projects I’ve worked on have been the ones I’ve had the chance to produce or help produce. As just an actor on a project it is great to be able to prepare, go to set, perform and be done with that role or project. But when I produce a project I’m acting in it is even more meaningful because I prepare not only my performance but the project as a whole. I get to bring everything together before anyone makes it on set. Having creative input on the project as a whole is meaningful. Before, while and after we film because it becomes your baby. You are there every step of the way. It becomes more special to me. I also have more expectations of the project when I produce.. Of course I’m committed as an actor, that’s my job. But when I’m also producing I am committed even more because I’m focusing on the whole story and final product and not just my characters story.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I am a story teller through my acting, writing and producing. I moved to Los Angeles in 2012 to pursue acting. I have worked on commercials, independent films, and tv shows. I started writing for a sketch comedy show I produced called “Oh No You Didn’t” where I collaborated with my friend Adam Cerro in 2014 through 2015. It was then when I had the chance to create more acting opportunities for myself through writing and producing this sketch comedy show. We have two season on YouTube. During that time I also worked with my good friend Director and Writer Adriano Valentini and helped produce some of his episodes on his show called “The Age of insecurity”.
I took many years off from producing and writing to focus on Acting only and during this time I hade the opportunities to work awith great independent directors and writers like Aarron Cabrero and BMAN to name a few.
In 2022, I decided to get back to producing and have had the opportunity to work with my friend Matondo Kiantandu and his Production company MGFame Entertainment. Recently we worked on thriller horror “The Night Never Fades”. I play one of the characters in this one and I got to also help produce. “The Night Never Fades” is about a couple that decides to go on a road trip to find a long lost relative but before they can find the family member some mysterious force keeps causing them to run into dangerous and life and death situations that cannot be explained. “The Night Never Fades” is currently in post production and should be available to viewers Fall of 2023.
I am looking forward to collaborating with other Writers, Directors, Producers and Actors to continue creating independent films and creating more content to tell more stories. That’s what I love doing, making stories come to life with all my creative abilities.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
Recently while filming “The Night Never Fades” Hiring a DP that was dependable became a challenge last minute do to scheduling conflicts. We were set to shoot with all the actors, crew and location ready. The only thing missing was a DP.
As producer I decided to step in and get the shots we needed that day, as it was an emergency. Finding someone so last minute was impossible so I had to think quick. With a little help from the Director I was able to shoot and became DP that night. It was a long night, like the tittle of the movie lol, but it was a lot of fun. Part of my responsibility as a producer was to make sure everything was taken care of so I made sure the shots where all taken care of.
I have to say I was very happy with my work as a DP that day. The shots I filmed came out perfect director and editor are impressed…I may have found a new talent that I can now use when helping create and telling a story..

Looking back, are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?
I sometimes wish I went to film school. But honestly I feel like I’m learning great things from just being on set and doing everything first hand. I would like to continue taking on new challenges on set so I can learn it all. Maybe next time I’ll have to hold the boom mic and learn a thing or two about sound controls.
