Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Fabian Biondi. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Fabian , appreciate you joining us today. What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?
The honest answer, I was 18 years old and I had just graduated high school. I was with maybe a circle of about 16-20 people in the circle, we were passing around weed (I believe in weed as a medicinal healing process), and I remember hitting the blunt my last go around and I just blurted out, “I’m gonna start a record label that’s gonna change the game in how we treat our artists, a completely new system that’s fair and honest for the true value of work.” About 85% of the people in that circle all said almost simultaneously, “How you gonna build a record label? You can’t do that!” From that day forward I’ve taken about 4-6 years researching the entertainment industry it’s INS and outs to get to where, the way that I pay my artists should be fair and equal. The idea stems from having family members who were artists or musicians in which I’ve seen get taken advantage of by this entertainment industry. My belief is real creators deserve better negotiations, and labels should have a higher payout to their artists on a royalty level. Massive Heart Entertainment provides that unique infrastructure, we only allow certain criteria for our label because we invest, get our money and percentages, market your music before your time is up with the label and we give you total control over your rightful royalty amounts.

Fabian , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
It took time, consistency, trial and error, and a lot of research. I’ve found in my research that on make social media platforms like YouTube, Facebook and Instagram are eerily similar in the algorithm. Therefore, these three platforms are the easiest to start building a presence. I recommend starting with 5-8 posts a week. Of these 8 posts, (if you do 8 a week) you should utilize 3 reels/shorts per week, 4 stores with links to content your providing for your viewers, and 1 profile post. Always remember to tag any relevant people that you believe would attach to you and your content. Hashtags are also extremely important. The recommended Hashtags per post should be 30 hashtags: the limitation of hashtags through out each social media account is 30. Be very particular when your using Hashtags, also include popular hashtags that will get your content to a bigger audience. For example a Hashtag like #hiphop has over 234M uses on Instagram, that means 234M people have used this hashtag, meaning your profile will likely reach 1% of that with no promotion. Take 234M multiply it by 1% you’ll get the number of people you’ll reach through that hashtag. Your analytics are extremely important in determining what will and won’t work for your content that you release.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
My first show I ever performed was my biggest influence on my resilience through my career. The year was 2016. In the area I was living at the time there was a huge concert going on called “Back The 90’s Tour.” This specific event being held at Montage Mountain the biggest stage in the NEPA area. The performers that were set to perform were Chris Webby, Tech9ne and TLC (R.I.P. LEFT EYE). I submit to perform on a separate stage from the main events. I was taken through a huge whirlwind being thrown from one department to another through live nation. 4 days of calling I was given instructions to contact the sponsors of the event to get play in the arena. Mind you this event was 6 months from the time I was trying to get into the show. So I contacted the sponsors of the event and to no avail, I was told absolutely not! I had not had much stats and presence at that point in time. I was just building at that point. Though they blatantly told me no, I was extremely determined and persistent. Over the next 6 months I developed my presence, dropped my first album, made descent stats on social and digital streaming platforms. They told me no 796 times, (YES THEY TOLD ME NO THAT MANY TIMES) until I finally had enough stats and money to bring to the table. I told them I would pay for my own security. Literally 48 hours to the start of the show the Sponsors for the show accepted my negotiations and I performed my first performance in front of 8,000 people, while on a separate stage from Chris Webby, Tech9ne and TLC.
