We were lucky to catch up with Exequiel Datingaling recently and have shared our conversation below.
Exequiel , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Some of the most interesting parts of our journey emerge from areas where we believe something that most people in our industry do not – do you have something like that?
Currently being in the industry of the pet supplement business, a lot of other business owners cut the cost by finding manufacturers overseas. This is an amazing way to cut cost. However, most policy and procedure in other countries don’t meet health and safety standards that we would have here in America. I genuinely believe in my company’s mission in providing the best line of pet supplements. Our pets have A very special place in our family unit to which case they deserve the best we can offer.
Exequiel , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
At the age of 20, I started within the finance industry working with big banks such as Chase, Wells Fargo and Challenge Financial. After a few years climbing the corporate ladder, I was burnt out and decided to start out on my own and become an entrepreneur. One of my dream goals was always to write a book. My favorite genre of books have been personal development books, and so I started writing at the age of twenty six. Four years later I was able to publish my first book which was a huge accomplishment. Now I recently started a pet supplement company whose main focus is to help canines with behavioral problems.
We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
A story for my past that illustrates resilience, the story of overcoming the obstacles of coming to America. Coming to America and understanding the culture was at the time difficult. Having a single mom that wore two jobs to maintain a household for myself was a lonely road. This journey was filled with trials and errors due to having a parent that was not present.
Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
In my later life at the age of 31 during COVID-19 era, was a significant turning point in my life. The epidemic affected my family heavily. With the loss of my mother and three other family members forcing me to become more resilient and re-adjust to a different lifestyle. The safety net that my mother provided for me was not there anymore and the choices I made in my everyday became more careful and purposeful towards to becoming more successful in my family life and career.
