We were lucky to catch up with Evonne Britton recently and have shared our conversation below.
Evonne, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What was it like going from idea to execution? Can you share some of the backstory and some of the major steps or milestones?
I have been a track and field athlete for as long as I can remember. From winning states in Texas as a high school hurdler to going on to Penn state to be a school record holder and now as a professional training for the 2024 Olympics. I wanted to share my story to success and share my journey to competing at the highest level and being the best version of me. Creating content has always been something I enjoyed and coaching athletes is something that I found to really enjoy, however having the time to coach as well as train was very difficult especially during the height of my training, and competing schedule. Once I fugured out that I wanted and was dedicated to being all in this 2024 season on being the best athlete and sharing my journey as well as documenting my success I was all in. Planning and organizing is one of the most important things I find in order to be successful in sport as well as growing my new business online.
Evonne, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I first started running and got into sports competitively when I was in middle school, because no one in my class wanted to do this challenging event my dad volunteered me to run when I found my natural talent to be able to hurdle the rest was history ! I educate and provide programs to help track and field athletes to learn how to be improve there selves mentally & physically. I am the most proud of my persistence and resilience to be able to keep pushing myself to go further and to go faster in order to accomplish my Goals of becoming a Olympian! I want to motivate and inspire others in my sport that threw to can accomplish there goals!
Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
Consistency and creating content that represents me and that I have alot of knowledge on.
We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
I had to learn that at the beginning of change it’s difficult but you have to be uncomfortable to get comfortable.
