We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Evgeniya Bannikova a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Evgeniya, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
I have always been passionate about flowers and had an interest in floral arrangements. I used to spend hours on weekends creating beautiful bouquets and centerpieces for my family and friends. And I began to receive requests from others to create floral arrangements for their events, such as weddings and parties. I always had a feeling that I could be doing more with my skills. And one day it happened. I started small, offering my services to friends to gain experience and build my portfolio. And in a few months, my business began to grow, and I started to receive more requests. I asked my husband Konstantin for help and with our passion for flowers, dedication to quality, and unique approach to floral design, our business quickly gained popularity in the local community. The Fresh Flower Society was my dream. And this dream came true. Of course, it’s important to note that even dream jobs can have their challenges and difficult days. However, when you’re doing work that you’re truly passionate about and that aligns with your skills and interests, it can be easier to stay motivated and to overcome those challenges.

Fresh Flower Society is a small family business specializing in creating floral arrangements for a variety of occasions, including weddings, and everyday occasions. Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
The most effective strategy for growing our clientele is offering something unique and different from our competitors. This includes specializing in a particular type of floral design, offering eco-friendly or sustainable options, or providing a high level of customization and personalization.
