We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Evelyn Osorio a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Evelyn, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?

As the person who not only decides what design to put on a garment but the designer, there are 3 core elements I am inspired by in our mission as a business. 1. Save Souls 2. Call back home the prodigal sons & daughters of God and 3. Encourage the Christian.

Evelyn, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

There are many Christian brands or t-shirts in the world, but what sets us apart from the rest is our mission to use garments to save souls and call back the prodigal.

As a Pastor, GSquad Fashions is an extension of our ministry Streets of Mercy’.Therefore, equally important to complete the mandate placed over my life. I feel highly blessed and favored to had been called to this generation, and I don’t take it lightly!

It is my goal to help even the most shy and timid Christians evangelize the world. With our T-shirts there is really no reason why any Christian can’t one day hear our heavenly Father say ” well done my good and faithful servant ” Matt 25:21 because the quotes can help them reach the lost. Some examples of these quotes are: Time to Return to God, Jesus Loves You Just the Way You Are, You are the One Lost Sheep Jesus Is Looking For You. To mention a few.

I see this particular collection as a “winning soul” tool and we encourage every single believer in whatever stage in their walk they may be to consider using our brand for such.

My journey with this brand began in 2018 when a desire to sell Christian products on Facebook lives was realized. I have since then an official Trademark and in addition to our online store a local brick & motar inside of The Westgate Mall in Spartanburg South Carolina.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?

If I be completely transparent I would have to share my real humble beginnings. It was in 2014 when the desires of starting my own small business designing Christian shirts started. I was living in florida, I didn’t have a job, nor the resources. I remember selling a tablet I owned for $300 and borrowing my first “small business” loan for another $300 and with that I purchased supplies and printing machine to get started. Without any skills nor knowledge as to how it all work, I took to YouTube to learn! This platform had actually become my resource for everything I need to learn and push my dream into a reality.

I remember sharing my tee design ideas on a FB posts and quickly getting 9 sells, It may had been at that moment that I realized I was on to something. However, I think like many other entrepreneurs, there’s that moment when you have to come to the conclusion that quitting isn’t an option! It got hard and still gets hard at times, but to see the vision become a tangible reality we must keep pushing.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?

To build an audience on any social media you have to add value to their lives. In my case as a believer, I had developed a tribe that came to my posts, videos and Lives faithfully because I was helping them in their own spiritual journey. Although, it wasn’t an intentional strategy and I was doing it way before I launched my brand. Some of these individuals 10 years later are still with me and are my biggest supporters and cheerleaders in everything I do.

My advice to someone starting their own journey is to figure out what value they can bring to someone’s life. How can you solve a problem for them with your product, and be GENUINELY YOU!

Think about this. There are many others selling Christian tshirts so why should they buy mine? They are buying into ME. I am the brand!

If they love you and connect with you on another level, they will become your tribe and biggest supporters.
