We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Evelyn LeVasseur . We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Evelyn below.
Hi Evelyn , thanks for joining us today. Was there a defining moment in your professional career? A moment that changed the trajectory of your career?
I always wanted to be a mom. I actually never visualized a life in which I wasn’t one. But the road to becoming a mother was not an easy one.
After suffering two losses, my husband and I decided to try a third time (with our doctor’s guidance). Throughout the entire pregnancy, I kept preparing myself to hear the words, “I’m sorry” at each appointment. But nine months later, I gave birth to my first baby girl and was finally able to breathe real, deep breaths. She was real!!
And I vowed to raise her with intention. To focus on her character. But I didn’t account for the impact outsiders would have on her thoughts. I was at a picnic one day with my husband and two daughters (yes, I have two beautiful daughters now), and I served them lunch: a burger, corn, salad. A woman said to my then ten-year-old, “Honey, if you want to keep that figure, you’d better lay off those burgers”.
When the shock wore off, I had a revelation. I raised my daughters to focus on who they were, not what they looked like. But, also, a part of me was still focused on my body too (I had been a chronic dieter for almost 19 years). And I also realized that women everywhere were battling feelings of “not enough” because they had the same connections: my worth is determined by my size. They want their daughters to strive for greatness, but they teach them to fit into a box.
That’s when my coaching changed, because I changed. I started to dig deeper and unearth thoughts I had hidden for most of my life. I started to unlearn behaviors and reframe my thinking. I started to accept myself for the person that I am and disconnect my value from my body. And I started to do the same for my clients.
I used to coach them on nutrition and exercise alone, but the missing link was mindset. Without taking the time to go inside, the outside couldn’t maintain change.
Now, I help women stop dieting and lose the weight of other’s expectations and judgment. With self-trust and a new mindset, they gain food freedom and confidence and are able recognize their intuitive strength and power.
And best of all, that freedom and confidence provide a solid foundation of health (mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical) for generations to come.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I spent the majority of my adult life chasing a smaller version of myself. I believed that if I just lost weight (and kept it off), then I’d feel good: confident, comfortable, accepted, worthy. To keep myself “healthy”, I earned my certification in both nutrition coaching and in personal and group training.
I began coaching women in the practices I learned. And they saw great results. However, they almost always rebounded and gained the weight back. I learned, through my own journey, that true lasting health is the result of prioritizing inner work.
When I began to heal inside, to unlearn the things that kept me stuck, my body began to change, and stay that way. That’s when I realized the power of mindset. And now, the results my clients get are lifelong, because together, we lay a new foundation. They travel their journey to food freedom and confidence from a place of compassion, rather than forcing themselves to maintain deprivation.
I work with clients 1:1 (Intuitively Me, 12-week container), in a group setting (Fitness Redefined, 12-week container), or through self-paced work (Mama Ditch The Diet, a detailed video course).
What I am most proud of is knowing that I play a role in helping women, moms, feel centered and powerful. They release the idea that confidence will come from weight loss. And they show up differently. They stand taller. They own who they are and that’s where their beauty comes from.

If you could go back in time, do you think you would have chosen a different profession or specialty?
If I could go back, I wouldn’t change a thing about my work or the journey that brought me here. I get to do work that I love and watch women rise. It feels powerful and impactful, and my heart is full. I am walking in purpose and in the process, teaching my daughters that they don’t have to live with limits. I love what I do!
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
I think showing up consistently and authentically helped people see that I am someone who is trustworthy and dedicated to providing value to others. When a woman chooses to work with me, she knows that I am all in and that I take her results seriously. She also knows that I will guide her with compassion, because it is something I give to myself as well.
