Before transitioning to my own studio, I operated from my kitchen, serving family and close friends. In September 2021, I welcomed my first client to my new studio. As a newcomer in both my suite and field, I was still finding my footing. She had never experienced sugaring in Ohio before, only out of state. Being her first Ohioan sugaring professional, she was understandably nervous. I strived to make her feel comfortable by sharing my knowledge, putting her at ease. Three years later, she remains a loyal client because of the safe and informative environment I provide. I prioritize my clients, even offering a bit of therapy when needed.

Hello, I’m Evanna Jones, a sugaring expert from Beachwood, Ohio! My journey started with crafting organic skincare products at home. With encouragement from my ex-husband, I delved into the world of aesthetics. I even traveled to Los Angeles for specialized body sugaring training. To stay inspired, I prioritize getting enough rest and eating well. Rather than relying on social media, I prefer word-of-mouth to share the exceptional services I provide. Can you open up about how you funded your business?
In essence, my 9 to 5 job provided the initial support for my business during its first 2 to 3 years. Without any grants or business loans, I focused on building and shaping my business through branding, leading it to its current state.
What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
The most effective way for me to attract clients is through traditional word of mouth. While social media is beneficial, nothing beats the power of personal recommendations. The exceptional experiences I provide to all my clients encourage them to spread the word to their friends and family. This positive feedback loop often leads to new bookings through referrals.
