We were lucky to catch up with Evan Luecke recently and have shared our conversation below.
Evan, appreciate you joining us today. We’d love to go back in time and hear the story of how you came up with the name of your brand?
I knew when I was getting ready to exit corporate life, the name open tabs kept coming around. I fell in love with it once I first heard it. When you are really curious or really busy on your computer most of the times you have a lot of tabs open, and so open tabs is at its base the meaning to explore your curiosity or your really busy and as a entrepreneur busy is good. On the other side, The designer of the logo mentioned (S/o Peter Yue) when your grabbing drinks, who doesn’t love an open tab. So, have fun fun, be curious, and stay working, that’s how open tabs became what it is.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I am Evan Luecke a creative entrepreneur based out of the Pacific Northwest. I offer content creation/marketing services, ranging from Photography, videography, social media management and consulting. I solve problems through storytelling taking a unique creative approach creating scroll stopping content. I got into my industry after a few years in corporate and coming to the realization that working for someone else wasn’t in the cards for me. A few projects stick out that i’m most proud of. I’d say the Doordash campaign for the super bowl was one of favorite projects i’ve been able to work on. The other was Champions of change a non profit based out of Seattle creating a full service social media plan and executing it and being able to bring community together. The thing about Open Tabs I want people to know is that we create cool shit. We have a track record of working with top brands to engage their audiences through content, experiences, and productions.
How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
I think a few things have helped me build my reputation, a lot of my clientele comes from word of mouth, i think theres something to be said there. Showing up consistently, producing good work and showing up professional are a few things that have helped build my reputation.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
The ultimate vision for Open Tabs is to establish a welcoming and inclusive space that serves as a supportive community for foster children and orphans. This community would focus on empowering these individuals by providing them with access to creative resources, tools, and opportunities they might not otherwise encounter. By fostering an environment where creativity is encouraged and nurtured, Open Tabs aims to help these young individuals discover and develop their unique talents, express themselves authentically, and build a sense of confidence and purpose.
