We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Evan Farrell. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Evan below.
Alright, Evan thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?
After witnessing many fellow students failing after high school due to lack of opportunity, I knew that something needed to be done. Funding cuts for in-school art and lack of access to creative outlets were wasting talent. My friends had the potential–the only thing they were missing was opportunity. What if someone could create it?
KidWiseman launched as a character, brand, and creative concept dedicated to creating opportunities for aspiring creatives as soon as Evan had the resources in place. Now equipped with deep connections with powerhouse creative agencies and global brands looking to impact their communities–plus a ton of spray paint–he was ready to put on the mask.

Evan, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
After graduating from The Savannah College of Art and Design at the top of his class, earning a BFA in Graphic Design and Performing Arts, I started my career working on campaigns for clients like Google, Starbucks, and Target at powerhouse creative agencies. At the same time, he spearheaded creative direction for multimedia events and music festivals like Groove Cruise and Coachella. Through this, he realized his vision for KidWiseman: a social-good street artist who creates opportunities for, and inspires, young creatives. Since 2015, KidWiseman has completed over 50 large scale productions and has worked with over 5,000 students across 15 school districts.
I’m most proud of my accomplishments on a few projects: I painted a 150×30 foot mural on the back of Netflix in Hollywood, CA and invited local students and the LAPD to help paint and participate with the full production. The Mural has since become one of LA’s most iconic walls and is considered a landmark for locals and visitors alike. I spearheaded a project in National City with Red Bull where we created a 5 week curriculum to prove that high school students can perform at a college level. Students learned every aspect of a production including design, photography, video, aerial cinema, and lighting all with an emphasis on street art.
I’ve successfully bridged the gap between advertising and street art. I recently completed a project with Hershey’s for Jolly Rancher gummies where I worked with their team to design a gummy package and then transferred that same design and aesthetic to a 20×20 wall in Los Angeles, CA.
In the last few years the KidWiseman brand has evolved by taking on other projects with a focus on custom apparel and live events. I’ve now designed custom apparel and overseen successful branding campaigns for global brands, and professional athletes including Adidas, Young LA, Activision, Dwayne Wade, Luka Doncic and Steph Curry to name a few. I have also performed live with my iconic mask at events and world renowned music festivals with some of todays top DJ’s and musicians including Logic, Zedd, Rufus Du Sol, Sofi Tucker, and Alec Monopoly. It’s been a wild ride and I’m excited for you to see what’s coming next!
