We recently connected with Eugenio Wilman and have shared our conversation below.
Eugenio, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Risk taking is something we’re really interested in and we’d love to hear the story of a risk you’ve taken.
I was on a normal 9-5 job, working for more than a decade, then a decide to jump on a new path having my own company and offering more services related to what I love to do!

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I was born in Bogota but I group in Cali so my Heart is Caleño, I’m the oldest of 4 siblings. I grow up in a regular middle class family, where my Dad was the authority and sole provider and my mom was the soul and loving character of the family. My dad was a very strict person, and after a very difficult 3 years studying chemical engineering and one visit to a hospital with an ulcer cause by stress I decided to confront my dad and pursue my own carrier choice for education.
I work during the day, studied at night and I was able to graduate with honors of Marketing and Advertising THEN destiny this his part, I was working for the biggest advertising company in the world and I had see my dad face to face as a client from that company
My desire to adventure brought me to US. also I remember That when I was working for a American company in Cali, Colombia and I noticed that most of the management jobs were done by professionals that had an International careers, that become like a goal to me, then when I decided to get my visa I got the support of the company and I came for vacation and to visit their offices in Miami… But I love it so much that I went back to quit my job and a 5 years relationship to start a new life here!
During my time in Miami working on a design studio I started to bother the owner about transitioning to do video production work, we were designing Cd covers and all type of marketing material to promote latin artists, finally we did one for a client, they loved it and after that we started promoting the cd on tv spots. Then, I got an offer to work on a TV production company as a Motion designer and finally just moving one hour from Miami I was finally expose to an environment of full English. I was the only latino at the company. I worked there for 12 great years, I remember I did my first vacation to Europe, I took some pictures and I post them to Facebook an ex-girlfriend of mine liked them and asked me to photograph her wedding, which I did even though I didn’t like the idea nor the pressure.
After her wedding I posted again some images in FB and from those images I got two inquiries to shoot a wedding in NC and one in Brazil… After I returned from the trip, I felt in love with the craziness, the happy moment and emotions at weddings and also the opportunity to travel to do them. Right then The wedding Traveler was born, a few years later my wife helped me to find the courage and pursue to grow our brand and own company which allow us to travel to more than 100 cities and many countries in the world to have unforgettable experiences and capturing love a long the way.
One of the most important lessons Y learned so far:
Definitely Embracing Hard work is first in my list, but hard work combined with a balanced fun life.
Fight fear… I’ve being afraid of many things in my life but once I accepted and face it then I found the courage to overcome that fear.
I believed that every person can find all the elements to make their own live better, we just need to get out of our comfort zone and better things will happen.

Can you talk to us about how your side-hustle turned into something more.
