We recently connected with Eugeniia Gul and have shared our conversation below.
Eugeniia, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Learning the craft is often a unique journey from every creative – we’d love to hear about your journey and if knowing what you know now, you would have done anything differently to speed up the learning process.
I remember my very first red carpet coverage like it was yesterday. It was 2020, and a friend called me last minute to cover interviews at the Hollywood Christmas Parade. At the time, it wasn’t something I’d done before but I had been on camera since I was five, so I couldn’t resist the opportunity. Watching the footage afterward, I realized how much I didn’t know: simple things like how to hold the mic properly while asking questions. That moment sparked a fire in me. I enrolled in Media Star TV School and took both private and group public speaking classes with SoniaMPower. I quickly fell in love with the art of short-format interviews at Los Angeles’ most extravagant events.
Knowing what you know now, what could you have done to speed up your learning process?
If I could go back, I would have started formal training sooner. Jumping into live events gave me raw experience, but structured learning helped me refine my skills and build confidence faster. I also would’ve been kinder to myself during the learning curve instead of comparing myself to others.
What skills do you think were most essential? The most essential skills for a red carpet interviewer are quick thinking, active listening, and the ability to react in the moment. You need to carry yourself with confidence and grace, no matter what’s happening in your personal life. And never underestimate the power of a genuine smile and high energy that’s what really draws people in.
What obstacles stood in the way of learning more?
The biggest obstacle was mental. I used to worry a lot about my accent and constantly compared myself to other hosts. But over time, I realized two key things: first, if I’m on the same red carpet, I’ve already earned my place – no need to prove anything. And second, people are drawn to charisma, energy, and authenticity far more than to flawless speech. The only real obstacle was the one I created in my head.
Eugeniia, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
For those who may not have heard about me before – hello, my name is Eugeniia Gul, and I am a red-carpet host, master of ceremonies, and author with a passion for storytelling, connection, and creating unforgettable experiences.
Over the past five years, I’ve had the honor of working as an MC and red-carpet host at some of the most prestigious events in the entertainment and fashion industries, including the Beverly Hills Film Festival, Multicultural Film Festival, Dances with Films, Art Hearts Fashion, Los Angeles Fashion Show, Lumiere Fashion Show, Coachella, and UNF, among many others. I now work nationwide, bringing charisma, expertise, and professionalism to every stage I step onto.
A highlight of my journey has been co-hosting events alongside Grammy-winning artist and Mister UN, Septimius the Great. Together, we bring energy, style, and unforgettable presence to every event we touch.
What sets me apart is not just my years of experience or love for live entertainment – it’s my deep passion for people and the stories they carry. I believe in the power of storytelling to heal, uplift, and connect. That belief is also what inspired me to write my book, “Lovebook”, a guide to healing and happiness born from my own life experiences and 12 years of therapy. It’s about discovering what you truly desire, breaking through limiting beliefs, and creating a life aligned with your purpose.
Looking ahead, my next milestone is to go global – to host red carpets at the Met Gala, Oscars, Emmys, and other elite stages around the world. I also dream of launching my own podcast or talk show, offering deeper, more intimate conversations that highlight the resilience and brilliance of the human spirit.
To anyone reading this: I love people. I love discovering what makes them shine. And if you’re someone with a story to tell or a vision to create – let’s connect. I’m always open to collaboration, and I truly believe that through healing, high vibrations, and human connection, we can make the world a safer, more inspiring place.
In your view, what can society to do to best support artists, creatives and a thriving creative ecosystem?
Supporting artists means valuing creativity not as a luxury, but as an essential part of a healthy, evolving society. First and foremost, society can invest in access – access to education, to affordable spaces to create and perform, and to funding opportunities that allow artists to focus on their craft without being in constant survival mode. Grants, public art commissions, artist residencies, and platforms for emerging talent can make a world of difference.
Equally important is recognition. Celebrate artists not only when they become celebrities, but when they are in the process of becoming. Media, educational systems, and institutions can do more to include and elevate diverse voices and forms of expression, especially those from underrepresented communities.
And finally, support comes down to the audience – you don’t have to be a millionaire to support the arts. Buy a ticket. Share someone’s work. Leave a comment. Recommend them. Showing up matters. The creative ecosystem thrives when we engage with art as participants, not just spectators. When we listen, support, and believe in artists, we’re investing in culture, empathy, and innovation.
Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
My mission is to inspire, connect, and elevate others through the power of storytelling, presence, and high energy. Whether I’m on the red carpet, hosting an event, or interviewing someone for my platform, my goal is always the same: to create a space where people feel seen, heard, and celebrated. I believe that when we share our stories authentically, we not only heal ourselves – we give others permission to do the same.
