Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Eugene Fanfan. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Eugene thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?
My mission is to educate individuals and families about the matters of personal finances with a strong emphasis on credit so that they can obtain financial freedom. This pandemic has taught us how important it is to have our financial affairs in order, to have emergency savings funds and to be better stewards with our money. I want my clients to pass down what they have learned to their children so that we can begin to break down these barriers of poverty that often plague minority communities.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
My name is Eugene Fanfan and I am a first generation American born and raised in Miami, FL. My parents immigrated from Haiti in the 1980’s in search of a better life, like most immigrants. I lost my mother at age 9 and was raised by a single father and we struggled, a lot. I knew that I wanted better for my life and I challenged myself academically. I was accepted into the University of South Florida where I earned 2 Bachelor’s degrees. I worked a traditional job the first year after I graduated and realized I was not fulfilled in that role. I wanted more. I decided to open my first business and was a business owner for 6 years in the automotive industry and decided to transition to financial literacy in 2017.
The main reason I decided to make this transition was because I saw so many people purchasing vehicles with less than perfect credit and putting themselves in poor positions financially and I wanted to be able to stop the cycle. I then transitioned to financial literacy and have not looked back. I love what I do and I love helping people change their lives. The programs that we offer literally help people to become homeowners, car owners, business owners, you name it. We help them to get their buying power back by leveraging their credit. What I believe sets me a part from others is the passion that I have for this. If I cannot help someone I will not try to sell them a product if I feel like they can manage on their own, I will give them advice and help anyway that I can. My team and I have been able to help hundreds of families and we will continue to do so. We are changing lives and I want nothing more than to be a part of the solution of the hundreds of thousands of families who don’t know where to start to get their lives back on track.
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
The three things that helped build my reputation within my market are: 1. Under promising and over delivering – this allows me to make sure all of my clients are satisfied by not making guarantees that I am unsure of
2. Building solid relationships – by actually taking the time out to get to know new partners I create a mutually beneficial relationship not an exclusively one sided relationship
3. Keeping my word – your word is bond and I will always keep my word

What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
The best source of new clients for me are referrals from Real estate agents and loan officers, anyone in an industry that is reliant on credit for the client to be approved. I am always looking to build new connections in this particular industry to help get their clients approvable.
