We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Eternity James a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Eternity, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Have you signed with an agent or manager? Why or why not?
My agent is Models Inc. Talent Agency in San Francisco. They represent me for acting, modeling, and singing. I found them while searching online for a Bay Area agency, and after a great Zoom meeting, I was impressed by their energy, professionalism, and strong reputation. I also appreciate that they’re an all-women team with years of industry experience. They chose to work with me because of my unique look, strong singing voice, and the acting performance I delivered in my audition.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I am an eclectic performing artist — actor, model, singer, and spoken-word artist — and the self-published author of six books of poetry and prose. Everything I create comes from my real-life experiences and lessons about love, healing, and self-acceptance. My mission statement is simple: your story is your power.
Being open about my own journey has shown me how powerful vulnerability can be. It inspires others to embrace and share their stories too. I’ve been an artist since I was four years old, always drawn to fashion, acting, singing, and teaching. Creativity has always been my way to heal and connect.
What makes me different is that I’m unapologetically myself — honest, direct, and deeply authentic whether I’m performing or posting online. I’m proud to have published six books in five years, and even prouder that I’ve done it all by staying true to who I am. You can’t put me in one box — I love every part of what I do, and I believe the most important thing in life is to live as your truest self.
I offer private poetry workshops online and tarot readings. Spirituality is very important to me as a mystic.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
My goal is to open a multi-arts studio that serves as a creative and healing space for artists and the community. It will feature a recording studio, dance classes, open mic nights, meditation workshops, an art gallery, and yoga sessions — a one-stop space for creative expression and wellness. The mission is to provide emotionally safe, inclusive spaces for artists, neurodivergent individuals, and anyone seeking healing through creativity and meditation.

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
For a long time, I believed I had to earn someone’s love. Growing up, I never felt like I was enough. I was made fun of both at home and at school, and there wasn’t an emotionally safe space for me to exist authentically. I was the black sheep of the family — a little awkward, very blunt, and often misunderstood.
As an adult, I’ve learned that I am enough exactly as I am. I am worthy of love simply because I exist. Real love doesn’t require jumping through hoops to be accepted. Healthy love is reciprocal. The right people for me will accept me fully and challenge me to grow into the best version of myself.
