We were lucky to catch up with Eston Browne recently and have shared our conversation below.

Eston , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today What’s been the most meaningful project you’ve worked on?

I would say the most meaningful project to date that I’ve worked on is INVOCATION that’s out now. Lyrically, it outlines a lot of the issues that I’ve observed over time during the pandemic. I also believe this project is a bit of a turning point for VULNIFICUS in our maturation and song writing process. I was tested a lot both personally and musically with this project, trying techniques and challenging myself every step of the way. I also handled mixing and mastering and composed two intros for The Viral Virus and The Incredulous Invocation. It’s also the first time I’ve had equal contribution to a project from my vision. Seeing the vision translate from my mind to reality is probably the most meaningful out of everything that I’ve done

Eston , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

I am the vocalist of brutal death metal band VULNIFICUS. This project began back in October 2021 and our first release was INNOMINATION that came out on Black Friday. I also contribute lyrics and handle the merchandising. I think one thing that sets us apart is our creativity and the way we present our music to our fans. The thing I am most proud of is receiving feedback and seeing our fans comment, share and post when they are satisified with receiving our merch, whether it’s shirts or CD’s.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?

Yes. The drive behind creating this music is to gain the respect of our peers and hopefully share the stage with other artists that we listen and look up to while also connecting with the fans and being engaged.

Is there something you think non-creatives will struggle to understand about your journey as a creative? Maybe you can provide some insight – you never know who might benefit from the enlightenment.

The journey that goes into creating a song might be one that’s underrated and hard to understand. The process of recording it and everything prior to when it hits stores or streaming platforms. Many people see or hear the final product and would assume its easy to do but there can be many obstacles that occur along the way, such as writers block, difference of opinions, indecisiveness or lack of ambition.
