Estefany, appreciate you joining us today. How do you feel about asking friends and family to support your business? What’s appropriate, what’s not? Where do you draw the line?

My mission is to preserve in a photograph the energy of the artist on stage as well as his music.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.

Estefany Camacho a.k.a. Rastafanny Photography nació y creció en Tijuana, México, frontera donde inició su amor por la fotografía documental, musical e incluso de deporte, combinando así tres pasiones: Música, SkateBoarding y Fotografía. A inicios del 2008, después de unos años envuelta en skateboarding local, comenzó a documentar fotográficamente la escena musical del género Reggae en Tijuana, San Diego, Los Ángeles y sus alrededores, asistiendo desde entonces a los principales conciertos y festivales de ambas Californias, para cobertura propia y del proyecto MundoREGGAE Show. Bajo su repertorio de disparos, encontramos artistas internacionales de gran renombre y trayectoria, tales como: Protoje, Chronixx, Yellow Man, Lila Iké, Sister Carol, Lady Ann, Don Carlos, Gondwana, Cultura Profética, Pato Banton, Alborosie, Hollie Cook, Mykal Rose, Jah Shaka, Sara Lugo, entre otros, además de una gran cobertura en el área Sound System de la región. La misión, preservar un momento de la historia cultural que envuelve la música Reggae, ayudándote así, a recordar los mejores eventos a los que asististe y/o de aquellos a los que no.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?

The most gratifying thing is when I see the photograph that I took at the concert and it was what I was looking for and that the artist and the people who follow me like it, for me it is the best in the world.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?

My goal for my creativity will always be to listen to music, music makes my mind more creative, as well as research what I want to do and have many ideas on the subject.
