We were lucky to catch up with Estefania Pascual recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Estefania, thanks for joining us today. Learning the craft is often a unique journey from every creative – we’d love to hear about your journey and if knowing what you know now, you would have done anything differently to speed up the learning process.

I honed my craft through dedication, consistent practice, and embracing the lessons that came from making mistakes. Looking back, one thing that might’ve helped me grow faster was simply trusting myself more. I’ve learned that I do my best work when I feel confident and at ease—because that’s when I’m most open to learning and improvement.

In the beginning, I was eager to dive straight into nail art, but I quickly realized that the true foundation of a great set lies in the prep and application. Perfecting those essential steps is what elevates the final look—and more importantly, it’s what keeps my clients coming back time after time

My name is Estefania, but most people know me as Stef. I’m the proud owner of Stefis_nailz, my nail art page and growing business based in Summerville, South Carolina. I became a nail technician while searching for a career that would allow me to combine my love for art with my desire to help people feel like the best version of themselves. What started as a simple hobby quickly turned into a deep passion—and I knew this was the path I was meant to follow.

One of the most rewarding parts of my work is helping clients transform the health and appearance of their nails. I specialize in non-toxic services like builder gel, which supports natural nail growth without breakage or chipping. Many clients come to me with bitten or damaged nails, and I take pride in guiding them through the journey to strong, beautiful nails—while adding custom art that reflects their personality.

What I’m most proud of is how far I’ve come. I was honored to be voted Best Nail Artist of Summerville, and I’ve built lasting relationships with so many incredible clients along the way. My skills and artistry continue to grow every year, and in the ever-evolving world of nail design, I’m excited to keep learning, improving, and creating.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?

The most rewarding part of my career is that I get to show up every day and do what I truly love. It never really feels like “work” when I’m creating and connecting. Helping each of my clients feel confident, cared for, and beautiful—that’s what makes it all so meaningful.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?

A particular goal driving my creative journey as a nail artist is to empower others through beauty and self-expression. My mission is to help each client feel confident, cared for, and uniquely themselves—one set of nails at a time. I aim to create a safe, inspiring space where people not only enhance the health of their nails but also express their personality through custom designs. Whether it’s transforming damaged nails or crafting miniature pieces of art, my goal is always to make someone’s day a little brighter and help them leave my chair feeling like the best version of themselves.
