We recently connected with Estefania Jimenez and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Estefania thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What do you think it takes to be successful?
What I think it takes to have a successful business are a couple things.
First is to find the “Why”.
When you are passed the excitement of starting a your new business and caught in negative experiences, one have to remember why we decide to action.
Navigating in Social Media, I get distracted very easily watching videos or looking for inspiration. Training my self to stay focused and designating times to do different task online, has worked for me affectively.
Networking and staying Up-today very important and something that we have to do continuously.
The importance of putting a face to the Business while communicating and connecting to people would make the difference when you get a referral or even getting the job.
And maintaining your business up today with trends and been able to react to a demanding market, it is for me the key to a successful business.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
I am a Estefania Jimenez, born in Ecuador but grew up in Germany where I met my Puerto Rican husband while he was stationed there. We were a military family until 2016 when we moved to Tampa.
Right away I started with IT classes perusing my B. Sc Cyber Forensics/ Information Security. I graduated in 2019 just a couple months before my son was born.
As we all know, we went right into lock down because of Covid.
So, I down loaded this trending app where you can learn the steps to a song, and I though to my self “this would be something to keep entertained while the lockdown last.”
Scrolling through stories, I see this girls video where she says, “My husband divorce me cause he thought I have no goals in live. I make 160k a year now, Story time”
That was it for me, I followed her and watched countless hours of “how toes” on Youtube.
I dared to make balloon decorations and offer them to my friends. They saw potential in me and the rest is history.
We offer balloon decorations, balloon Mosaics, we also have added to our inventory candy/champagne carts, as well as Marquee Numbers/Letters and an amazing 360 video booth.
We enjoy to talk to our clients and exchange ideas. We try to assimilate as much of the client’s vision to translate into balloons creations.
We are grateful for every single opportunity we get to show our skills, we are happy to negotiate budgets stying on the fare side for both parties.
What makes us special is the communication we have with our clients. My goal is to make them feel as they are talking to a friend, and they are allowed to express Ideas and make changes as my times as they feel is necessary. I want to make them feel confortable with the me since I am the person who is making their celebration special.
Been a Military Spouse Woman-owned Small Business I am very proud of how my business has grown. Against all odds.
My business nature is the party scene, where people gather to celebrate.
But while the Pandemic was on it pick we decorated for Zoom Parties, we did Driveway Baby Showers, delivered Balloon Bouquets and created many TikTok videos.
I am proud of the way we reacted to extreme times.
We want potential client to know that Tampa is at the level of any other bigger cities. We have the skills and we have the drive.
We just need to sit together and make it happen.
We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
I believe in lifting and empowering women specially in the professional field. As I started my business, I got in contact right a way with a hard working woman through my community page. Aubry Anderson with A.Tailor’d Experiance.
She reach out to me and set up a meeting. I loved her professionalism, from the start.
We were neighbors and I remember she saying “You are just starting and see you have potential, lets work together”.
And that is what we did, we organize an event for the community together “Meet the Grinch” which was very successful and put our names out there.
We have made important connections through her!! So, I am always thankful to have met her.
She has now moved to Georgia, but we are in touch.
Exactly what she did, I am giving forward. I see other balloon artist as colleges and not competition. I like their post, share them. I even refer clients to them when I am not available on a certain date. Which has had good resonance. I too get referrals and tips from my colleges. This is the beauty of uplifting each other.
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
I want to start by saying that have a presence on Social Media is a full-time job. Your platform is not only to present your product but to present the person behind the product.
When clients connect with you it is easier to offer a service or product.
A clean page presentation for clients to see your skills is important but stories will keep you in their minds.
Social Media gives you tolls to keep your audience engaged.
Interact buttons like “Ask me a question” “What you like better” keep your page trending and will be shown to more people online.
As an IT girl I am aware of the Facebook/Instagram algorithm the is always changing. To boost muy posts I try to keep up with the changes.
