Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Esteban Blanco. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Esteban, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. What do you think it takes to be successful?
Service, humility, be teachable and hard work. You have to realize that you don’t know everything. It takes humility to be teachable and allow others to teach you. You can be taught by your subordinates, other people in your industry, other business people, etc. Make sure that you work HARD and that you want to serve. It’s not all about making money. To be successful you have to be willing to serve others, get your hands dirty if need be and go out there to make your community better.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I was born and raised in San José, Costa Rica. I came to the United States as a musician in 1997 and have since been incredibly blessed to make this country my new home. I am a professional vocalist with a passion for travel, history, politics, plane spotting, golf, flying planes and astronomy. As far as how I got started. My best friend Danny is the first one to show me the I.T. industry. He showed me the ins and outs of what he was learning in school at the time. This was the year 2000. In 2001 I got my first job in the industry as a campus technician with the Irving ISD. From there I went into the corporate world, taking one detour into the City of Arlington. This is where I got all my industry relevant certifications. Back into the corporate world I went and in 2014 I decided it was time for me to open my own business and do things my way. I wanted to start a company that was completely trustworthy, client-centered service that puts client needs first. So we began this process and eight years later, we are happy to report that we have a great client base and we have remained true to our goal. To bring amazing I.T. support with excellent customer service at a reasonable price.
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
I believe that transparency has been key. We want our customers to always feel that they are getting great value from the services and suite of products we offer. Showing them that we care about them and their company has built that reputation. Our customers know we have their back and we watch their spending so that I.T budget doesn’t get blown out. At times circumstances happen that require us to recommend buying equipment or adding services, but we never recommend these things unless we would be willing to spend that money ourselves.
What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
Word of mouth. We don’t do much marketing. The clients tell their friends about us. That is without a doubt the biggest honor we can receive. When a client of ours tells someone else to call us. That shows me we are doing things right.
