Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Esmeralda Gutierrez . We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Esmeralda , appreciate you joining us today. So, let’s imagine that you were advising someone who wanted to start something similar to you and they asked you what you would do differently in the startup-process knowing what you know now. How would you respond?

One of the things I would do different is that I would tell myself to stop being scared to just go for it! I don’t believe in short cuts because I believe that to be successful you need to invest, take risk and learn from any experience you may have along the way. Success doesn’t come from what you do occasionally it comes from what you do consistently.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

My name is Esmeralda i am a 34 years old. I have been a lincesed Beauty professional since 2007. Anything Beauty is my passion. I specialize in blonding color service, color corrections, hair extensions and hairstyling for any special events. I take pride in my work and my ultimate goal is to make anyone that sits in my chair to feel comfortable and to feel more beautiful than when they came in to see me.

Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?

I would have to say Word of Mouth. I have the best clients that recommend me to everyone they know. They also post me and tag me on their social media. Once you build trust and a relationship with someone you will have a client forever.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?

Honesty and professionalism. I don’t like to over-promise any style outcome. If any of the looks my clients desire are unachievable I will let them know as soon as they sit in my hair. Also if there is any style I don’t know how to achieve I am Honest and I simply let them know I don’t know how to do it. I like to deliver high-quality results and make my client’s time and money worth it.
