Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Erynn Lamoreaux. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Erynn, thanks for joining us today. Can you talk to us about a project that’s meant a lot to you?
The most meaningful project i’ve worked on is probably every ornament that comes into my queue. When a client sends me their pet or family to hand paint you can see the love in every photo. For pets specifically their personalities, texture of fur, and expressions tell me how loved they are. For families, i’m usually painting professional family photos so the love is there with many smiles. Being a full time career nanny as my main source of income painting young families always has a special place in my heart.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
Growing up in a time where social media is the main source of any interaction is very interesting. The one thing i’ve learned is to be transparent, relatable, and inspiring. I believe that staying consistent with postings and not pressuring anyone to buy your product is how you will succeed naturally. With any platform insights are the coolest thing to look back on. How many people liked, shared, commented, and even saved your postings to share with their people is so rewarding!

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I have always had a niche for creating from a very young age. Throughout my school years I always chose art, photography, and graphic design classes as my extras. As a nanny from 9-5 I wanted to create on my free time and three years ago I took the plunge to start hand painting ornaments for the holidays. It is so rewarding to see your clients face light up after giving them their pet(s) and family photos back in a painting. I don’t think I ever see myself making this a full time gig. It’s something i’ve always loved on the side and will continue to do till I decide not to anymore.

Do you think there is something that non-creatives might struggle to understand about your journey as a creative? Maybe you can shed some light?
This is a good question. I feel in this day and age every person has their niche. Many people will have the same niche just created in their own way with their own spin on things. I whole heartedly believe there’s enough room for everyone to create what they want and with the support of others who do the same will flourish.
