Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Erskin Anavitarte. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Erskin, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. We’d love to hear the backstory behind a risk you’ve taken – whether big or small, walk us through what it was like and how it ultimately turned out.

When we moved to Nashville almost 12 yrs ago… we had little to commend itself to the start of a fantastic music career. In fact, we had a strong desire and a few songs on my guitar. I was however willing to step into risky bars and clubs to grow in my craft. I think this season of risk prepared the way for other great moments in my families life, because once i saw the faithfulness of God in those early years it gave me hope to trust him for greater things later.

Erskin, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

According to my bio i’m definitely a multi-gendered music artist based in Nashville. But i’m also a husband, father and friend to any that i can help move along life’s path. My music because of relationships is able to take me all around the world 🌎. Erskin Music is international brand touching lives all over the globe

Are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?

If i could go back into time to identify an area of growth, it would definitely be to start the business administrative side earlier so as not to miss out on royalties, contacts, riders, travel necessities along the way.

Is there something you think non-creatives will struggle to understand about your journey as a creative?

It took me a few months but as a full time creative, i had to figure out time management. As opposed to a traditional work schedule, i had to find ways to be creatively productive including spaces and times where i was most efficient. You have more time than the traditional schedule but in some ways you have far less time than you think because most good tasks take profoundly longer than most people know
