Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Errica Snelling. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Errica thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Can you share a story about the kindest thing someone has done for you and why it mattered so much or was so meaningful to you?
Starting with any creative venture can feel intimidating — what if no one reads, listens, watches, etc. When I began blogging, I definitely felt that, but the response was incredible. People I hadn’t spoken to since high school (and that I wouldn’t have even called myself super close with back then) were reaching out to me to tell me how proud they were that I was putting myself out there. I think anyone taking the time out to send a message, screenshot and share my This or That Thursdays, or sharing my content with their friends is an amazing act of kindness.
In each instance, it grounded me and made me realize that if my content makes even one person smile, then I’m doing my job. Of course, we all want to reach more people but those kind words brought me back down and humbled me in a beautiful way.
Likewise, when I started, I was lucky enough to be approached by many local photographers for complementary shoots. To be thought of in that way, to think that me as a model could help bolster someone else’s business or capture the essence they want for their page, was a really kind compliment.
As creatives, we work so hard to resonate and those spoken and unspoken of moments really stick with me when I lose steam or need motivation.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I am a full-time and freelance marketing copywriter, and I blog in my free-time. I’ve always had a way with words, but I never took it seriously until dropping my nursing major. Ever since, I’ve been trying to perfect this craft of mine.
Professionally, I love to help business owners bring a unique voice to their brands. Using strategies I’ve learned so far in my career to help bring in more organic traffic and establish brand voice is my passion. I’ve seen sites go from 0 traffic to over a thousand unique visitors per month with just a few well-researched and engaging blogs.
While I know the value I bring, I think my willingness to learn makes me unique. Even if my client isn’t a writer, they can give great feedback that strengthens my communication going forward. I love having access to data that allows me to boost conversions. The result is on-site copy that my clients can be proud of that makes more money for them (who doesn’t love that?)!
As a blogger, I hope to inspire through my own life. Mainly the fearlessness and encouragement to try new activities, styles, and more. One of my favorite and most successful blogs to date is about my first Brazilian wax. It was an intimate experience, but I knew that sharing the nitty gritty could encourage someone to finally take the leap to try it.
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
Like I mentioned earlier, resonating with even one person, having a genuine conversation in DMs or seeing people enjoy my content is so rewarding. Right now, I love the feedback and engagement from my This or That Thursdays. It’s so interactive, people respond all day, and I can tell that my audience enjoys and looks forward to it each week.

Have you ever had to pivot?
So, since I’ve started blogging I actually moved from Tampa to NYC. It’s a move I’ve been hoping for since 2020, but obviously, the world had different plans. However, having established myself as a Tampa-centric blogger, it’s been a hard adjustment. I have to find a new niche and call in a new audience, while still nurturing my current audience.
It’s pushing me to embrace the true meaning of “lifestyle” blogger where I talk about things that could be done anywhere. I’ve noticed when I post about NYC specifically it’s not as popular with my current followers, but when I post about going to the spa on your birthday (which can be done anywhere), it gets a lot more engagement.
I just think this new environment is pushing me to discover what really makes me unique and let people in on the little moments more.
