We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Erlynn Sincere a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Erlynn, appreciate you joining us today. Did you always know you wanted to pursue a creative or artistic career? When did you first know?
I’ve loved fashion since I was a little girl. I used to watch my mom get dressed and was always fascinated by how she put different pieces, patterns, and textures together. It felt so effortless, but also really creative. That’s probably where it all started for me.
Over time, I found myself drawn to styling and just really inspired by different people in the fashion world. I loved seeing how they told stories through clothes, how much thought went into every detail. That kind of creativity really stuck with me.
In 2019, I decided I wanted to take that love and turn it into something more. I started helping people with their shoots, events, and creative projects through styling and creative direction. Whatever they needed to bring their vision to life. Styling has always been a way for me to express myself, and now I get to help others do the same.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I work with individuals, brands, and creatives to help bring their vision to life, whether that’s through curated looks for a photoshoot, styling for a campaign, or overall creative direction for a project. My goal is always to help people feel confident, seen, and aligned with their message visually.
One thing I really pride myself on is helping people step outside of their comfort zones. A lot of my clients come to me wanting something different, but not always sure how to get there. When they trust me and give me full creative freedom, that’s when the magic really happens. I’ve created looks and concepts that went far beyond what they initially imagined and seeing their reaction is one of the best parts of what I do.
What sets me apart is my eye for detail, my ability to really understand someone’s vibe, and my collaborative approach. I don’t just throw clothes on people, I listen, I study their energy, and I build a story around them that feels authentic.
I’m most proud of the growth I’ve had since starting, especially the trust people place in me to help shape their image and tell their story through style. It’s not just about clothes. It’s about identity, emotion, and impact. For anyone new to me or my brand, I want you to know that the work I do tells a story. I put my heart into every project and I love helping people look and feel their best!

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
For me, the most rewarding part of being a creative is seeing how my vision can impact and inspire other people. It’s a blessing to be able to use creativity as a tool to uplift, empower, and speak life into others. That’s the true reward for me knowing I’m being used as a vessel for something bigger than myself!
When I’m styling someone or directing a shoot, I’m not just putting looks together, I’m helping people see themselves the way God sees them: worthy, powerful, and full of potential. I truly believe God gave me this gift and vision for a reason. This isn’t something I stumbled into, This is purpose. I know I’m meant to use my creativity to help others express themselves and see themselves in a new light.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
My social media started growing through my birthday photoshoots. Every year, I’d go all out, planning the concept, styling the looks, and making sure the visuals were eye catching. I didn’t realize it then, but the shoots were building my personal brand and showing people what I could do.
From there, I started styling clients and posting my work, and a lot of growth has come from word of mouth, people tagging me, recommending me, or sharing my content. That kind of support has been a blessing!
I’m still growing my social media presence and it is a journey. I’m learning something new every day, whether it’s about content, engagement, or just how to better tell my story online. For anyone starting out, I’d say just be consistent, stay true to your style, and don’t wait for perfect. Just start with what you have and build from there! Keep going, and don’t give up because even when it feels quiet, someone is watching and paying attention.
