We were lucky to catch up with Erin McInerney recently and have shared our conversation below.

Alright, Erin thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What do you think it takes to be successful?

I would say most people equate success to monetary value. The more money you make, the more expensive things you have or more you can show off, especially on Social Media, the more successful you are. My business shifted completely when I realized success, for me, couldn’t be measured in dollars. I came to this conclusion for a few reasons. The first being, whether you are suffering from lack or you are filthy rich, two very opposing ends of the spectrum, money is still controlling you. And what exactly is money? It’s really a piece of nothing until WE give it value. The next reason is I realize money is a very 3D concept, and yes we do live on material, tangible planet Earth, but if money can’t satiate you, you’ve ascended past this level of consciousness. To me, success is inner peace. It is a life in alignment with a higher calling of serving those on their journey and guiding them in healing. To me, success is watching a person who previously would be considered a “tough nut to crack” open up, blossom and grow through being brave enough to take responsibility for their healing and have self awareness. I am contributing to creating the New Earth by leading self healers on their journeys and the modern mystics get back in touch with their truest essence. I do this not only to serve my cosmically aligned clients and soul fam, but to help create the New Earth for my family and children.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers?

To put a title on myself, I call myself a 5th Dimensional Soul Guide because I am here to guide others on their spiritual and healing journeys, get back in touch with their prana, their truest most authentic selves, their Divine Light and rise. I chose this title for myself because I work with sacred esoterica like Reiki, Theta Healing, breath work, meditation, rituals, moon Magick, candle rituals/services/magick. I have been a practicing astrologer for years, I am the resident astrologer at FireandLux, Inc. for over two years and a psychic medium tarot card reader. I am also a holistic healer and practitioner, writer and most importantly, Mother. Some may say I am a witch or but prefer Mystic, either way I abide by the simple golden rule of believing in natural law above the laws of man. I have a podcast called #groundedandglam Modern Mystics and Motherhood and I do monthly tarot readings on my Youtube Channel Erin The Urban Mermaid, every time the sun changes zodiac signs. On my channels, IG included, I offer much education on the spiritual, metaphysical, occult, esoteric and holistic. I do workshops and healing events once a month or so and I have a monthly membership program that incorporates a bit of all of this. I also have a best selling course called Let’s Talk Tarot, in which I teach intuitive tarot and a healing transcendence called Empress Ascension, which has had two groups of a founders and sophomores and most of my founders moved onto Mastermind for a deeper leveling of transforming and healing. I have a series of ebooks that are guides coming out in the second half of the year, after I give birth to my third son, about having a spiritual and holistic pregnancy and birth, the fourth trimester. I am starting an apothecary on my online store and my first parfum the Urban Mermaid, is available now for purchase. I also provide monthly rituals for the collective to join. I work with my guides Our Lady of Guadalupe and Kuan Yin, providing them their offerings and pray and chant over candles to push energy around for those who join. These rituals focus on healing, protection, liberation from blocks, ending suffering, compassion, garce, unconditional love, self love, family, and much more.

Any thoughts, advice, or strategies you can share for fostering brand loyalty?

I believe people can see right through you, so authenticity is your only option. I have never been anything but myself on social media. And the more I show the real me, the more people relate and those who don’t that’s fine, then they weren’t meant to work with me anyway. My clients are my soul fam, they are dear to me. I consider them sacred connections and that’s why I share so authentically and in the manner I do. Part of my karmic debt here is to help these souls who are my mirror. When you figure the archetype of the soul you are meant to work with, you attract more of them in and less of the leeches, takers, and demand energy types. If I have haters, I would have no idea. Just not in my radar nor do I care. I couldn’t imagine wasting my energy on shooting someone the evil eye or speaking ill on them. I also fully know, that’s a reflection of what they need to work through, not me. I am lucky to love my clients and connect with them daily!

How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?

Last summer in 2021, I had to pull back and go Hermit mode as I like to call it, like the tarot card. I was coming off of a particularly unfortunate and tough miscarriage and I was trying to really throw myself in my work and be of service. But my energy was a mess, I had like 10 different single service offerings, I was doing so many posts and emails, trying to launch a healing program, doing readings in my IG stories every Saturday. So much hustling and my energy was getting burnt out. And because of that, I was attracting a lot of demand energy from people who weren’t even clients! Just inquiries. And they were SO rude! Leaving me on read, never saying hi or thank you. This is on top of being a mom to 2 boys, my older son is on the Autism spectrum. So I pulled the plug on everything I was doing for about a month or so, except my monthly members who truly honor my energy. I went back home to NY for a bit, I regrouped. I realigned my energy, I stopped posting on IG. No emails. Let my DMS go unanswered. I felt like people needed to miss and appreciate how much I give. In the background I was regrouping and putting together my Empress Ascension transcendence. And that launched in September with a BANG! 10 lovely ladies joined me. It was incredible.
