Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Erin Lewis. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Erin, appreciate you joining us today. One of the most important things we can do as business owners is ensure that our customers feel appreciated. What’s something you’ve done or seen a business owner do to help a customer feel valued?
One of the best ways I’ve shown client appreciation is by personally supporting clients at important events. Recently, two of my clients were honored at a banquet, and I attended to show my support. They were both pleased and expressed how much it meant to them. This gesture deepened our relationship and conveyed that I genuinely care about their success. Attending the event allowed me to personally acknowledge their achievements and foster a stronger bond between us. It was a memorable way to show client appreciation and left a lasting impression.
Erin, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My path has been quite unique, transitioning from the tech industry in government to where I am today, supporting intuitive entrepreneurs in building thriving, purpose-driven businesses.
What truly sets me apart is my ability to connect deeply with diverse individuals. From healers and artists to crafters and readers, I have had the honor of working with a wonderfully eclectic range of clients. I am driven by my unwavering belief in each and every one of them. Witnessing their growth, not just in their businesses but as individuals, fills me with immense pride.
I offer 1:1 coaching, workshops, and public speaking, with group coaching and an online course to come later this year. What sets my approach apart is that I emphasize aligning your business with your intuitive and creative nature. I want clients to thrive without compromising their personal freedoms.
One of the things I am most proud of is seeing the transformation that occurs within my clients. It goes beyond their business achievements and financial success. It’s about witnessing their increased confidence, deepened client relationships, and their ability to embrace abundance and freedom. I believe in nurturing both their professional growth and personal development, so they can lead fulfilling lives alongside their businesses.
My coaching style is relatable, practical, and action-oriented. My aim is to celebrate your individual journey, empower you to embrace the best of everything, and create a business that truly reflects your spirit.
We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
Back in late 2007, I took a leap of faith and started my own travel agency. It was exciting and fun, and I poured my heart and soul into it. But just as the business was gaining momentum, the great recession hit, and there was a significant downturn in the travel industry, which couldn’t navigate.
It was such a challenging period for me, It was a time of financial strain, and I had to make tough decisions, but wasn’t able to keep the business afloat. Despite all that, my entrepreneurial spirit survived to find new opportunities.
Fast forward to more recent times, the COVID-19 pandemic brought about changes we never could have predicted. While lots of folks I knew struggled to adapt, I saw an opportunity. It was the perfect chance to pivot and explore a new path. Despite never envisioning myself as a coach when I earned my MBA in 2001 or my MS in informatics in 2019, I embraced the unexpected. I recognized the value of my unique skills, experiences, and passions and was ready to grow with them.
What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
Word of mouth has definitely been my best source of clients. I network and have social media pages, but my clients share my information with others and I see new faces in workshops and it feels great!
